Everett L. and Florence M. Fair of Alma will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Alma Baptist Church, 246 E. 9th.
Hosts will be their children, Judy and Bob Ahring, Garnett; Wanda and Ralph Eberwein, Lexington Park, Md.; Everett Lee Fair Jr., Alma; Jayne and Gary Falletti, Frontenac.
The Fairs have eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Florence Rose and Everett Fair were married on Feb. 4, 1942, at Manhattan.
Mr. Fair worked for Manhattan Textile Services before he retired.
Mrs. Fair is a homemaker.
Byron and Beth Shuck

Byron and Beth Shuck, Ottawa, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday.
The reception will be in an unnamed building south of Lawrence on the west side of US-59 highway, one-half mile north of the Zarco gas station.
Hosts will be their children, Bud and Dianna Taylor, Ottawa; Leonard and DeeAnn Shuck, Ottawa; Sylvester and Katherine Smith, Olathe; and Carolyn White, Edgerton.
They have 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Beth Kring and Byron Shuck married Sept. 19, 1942, in Pleasant Grove.
The couple request no gifts.
Howard 'Buss' and Jo Ann Arb
Howard "Buss" and Jo Ann Arb, Melvern, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary as guests of honor at a reception from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Sept. 22, 2002 in the Community Building in Williamsburg.
Jo Ann Fanning and Howard Arb were married Sept. 21, 1952, at the Methodist Church in Melvern.
They have lived on their family farm at Melvern for 47 years.
Reception hosts will be their five children and spouses, Debra Arb, Topeka; Christy Arb, Topeka; Tammy and Dean Foster, Topeka; Janelle Arb, Eudora; and Keith and Denise Arb, Topeka. The couple have two grandchildren.
Mr. Arb retired in 1993 from Santa Fe Railway after 43 years of service.
Mrs. Arb is a homemaker.
