Elmer and Althea Ramseyer
Elmer and Althea Ramseyer of Topeka will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with their daughter and granddaughters.
Althea Gilby and Elmer Ramseyer were married Nov. 7, 1942, in Richmond, Calif.
Their daughter and her husband are Althea and Gary Pearce of Federal Way, Wash.
They have four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Mr. Ramseyer retired in 1981.
Mrs. Ramseyer worked as a clerk.
John and Clara Lightle
John and Clara Lightle of Osage City will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary on Friday with a card shower.
John Lightle and Clara Maellein were married Nov. 8, 1932, in Emporia.
They have two children, John Lightle, St. Louis, and Kathy Schooler, Wakarusa; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
While living in Osage City until 1950, the couple farmed and Mr. Lightle worked at the power plant and Mrs. Lightle was a telephone operator.
From 1958-67, the couple owned and operated Emporia Electric Co.
In 1967, they moved to Topeka, where both worked for the state of Kansas until retiring. They moved back to Osage City in 1980.

Clarence and Bonnie Haas
Clarence A. and Bonnie Haas of Topeka will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary as guests of honor at a reception from 2 to 5 p.m. Nov. 10 at Seaman Congregational Church, 2036 N.W. Taylor.
Hosts will be their children and grandchildren.
Clarence Haas and Bonnie Reamer were married Nov. 7, 1952, in Topeka.
Their children are Gary D. Haas, Pine Bluff, Ark.; Lonny L. and Denise Haas, Topeka; Jonny J. and Jenny Haas, Topeka; and the late Connie Rae Haas Starks. The couple have 10 grandchildren.
Mr. Haas retired in 1986 from Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. after 32 years of service.
Mrs. Haas is a homemaker.
