Bill and Angie Curtis - 60th
William H. "Bill" and Angie E. Curtis of Topeka will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with their family.
William Henry Curtis and Angie E. Brammell were married Nov. 15, 1942.
Their three children and spouses are Beverly and Jim Rieger, Clay Center; Leslie and Linda Curtis, Abilene; and Susan and Dennis Black, Valley View, Texas.
They have eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Curtis served in the U.S. Air Force in Ireland, England and Germany in World War II.
He worked at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. as a shift foreman in the Earth Mover tire department for many years.
He retired in 1981 from Goodyear after 30 years of service.
Mrs. Curtis worked for Jostens Printing and Publishing for seven years and later worked for the state of Kansas for 11 years.
She retired in 1987.
Marvin and Lois Bisel - 60th
Marvin and Lois Bisel of Topeka will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner and a card shower.
Marvin Bisel and Lois Bass were married Nov. 15, 1942, at Gage Park Wesleyan Church in Topeka.
Their three children and spouses are Delores and Bill Land, Ernie and Pat Bisel, and Gary Bisel, all of Topeka.
The Bisels have five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mr. Bisel retired in June 1985 from the purchasing department at Kansas Power & Light Co. after 28 years of service.
Before joining KP&L;, he and his father and brothers owned and operated the Broadview Dairy, which later was purchased by Fairmont.
Mrs. Bisel was employed for several years by the Morrell Co. in Topeka. She later operated a children's day care in her home.
They are longtime members of Fairlawn Heights Wesleyan Church in Topeka.
Gregory and Pamela Rickel - 25th
Gregory E. and Pamela K. Rickel of Topeka will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary with a reception from noon to 3 p.m. today at Snyder's Cabin in Gage Park in Topeka.
Gregory E. Rickel and Pamela K. Wright were married Nov. 26, 1977, in Meriden.
Their sons are Daniel David Rickel and Benjamin Stephen Rickel, both of Topeka, and the late Timothy James Rickel.
Mr. Rickel is a licensed practical nurse at Westwood Manor.
He has been a licensed practical nurse for 10 years.
Mrs. Rickel is a licensed practical nurse at Presbyterian Manor.
She has been an LPN for nine years.
