Jessie and John Russell - 50th
John and Jessie Russell of Topeka will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday in the Formation Room at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 3601 S.W. 17th.
Hosts will be their children, John and Deborah Russell, Larry and Joyce Russell, Kent and Pamela Schneider, Patrick and Janet Cochran, Dennis and Janna Russell, and Jeff Russell, all of Topeka. The couple have 16 grandchildren.
Mr. and Mrs. Russell were married Nov. 29, 1952, at Assumption Catholic Church in Topeka.
Mr. Russell retired in 1989 from plumbing after 32 years of service.
He remains a member of Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local No. 165.
Mrs. Russell is a homemaker. She also baby-sat her grandchildren and other children.
The couple request no gifts.
Alice and Robert Taylor - 50th
Robert and Alice Taylor of Berryton celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at a party hosted by their children.
Robert L. Taylor and Alice J. Christensen were married November 22, 1952, in Topeka.
They have five children, Robert Taylor II, Sharon Gustafson, and Richard Taylor, all of Topeka; Susan Wiles, Lawrence; and David Taylor, Gladstone, Mo. They have six grandsons.
The couple are retired.
Mark and Elda Rose Koch - 50th
Mark and Elda Rose Koch of Marysville will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary as guests of honor at an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Marysville.
Elda Rose Wilhelm and Mark Koch were married Nov. 15, 1952, at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Seneca.
Hosts will be their five children and spouses, Mike and Carole Koch, White Bear Lake, Minn.; Gail and Jim Johannes, Waterville; Jane and Delmar Seematter, Marysville; Lori and Howard Elliott, Hiawatha; and Randy and Tori Koch, Wichita; and their 10 grandchildren.
