George and June Blush - 50th
George and June Blush, Silver Lake, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary as guests of honor at a reception from 2 to 4 p.m. Feb. 15, 2004 at First Baptist Church, 301 E. Railroad in Silver Lake.
Hosts will be their children and grandchildren.
George Blush and June Snavely were married Feb. 14, 1954, in Silver Lake.
Their children and spouses are Susan and Robert Runyan and George and Laurie Blush, all of Silver Lake.
They have five grandchildren, Autumn Runyan, Matthew Runyan, Amanda Blush, Aaron Blush and Austin Blush, all of Silver Lake.
Mr. Blush is semi-retired from farming.
Mrs. Blush retired in 1996 as an assistant vice president of Fidelity State Bank after 24 years of service.
The couple request no gifts.
Rita and Ray Bachman - 60th
Ray and Rita Bachman, Topeka, will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary as guests of honor at a public reception from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 15, 2004 at their daughter and son-in-law's restaurant, Lane's Barbecue at 1306 S. Kansas Ave.
Hosts will be their children and grandchildren.
Rita Davis and Ray Bachman were married Feb. 10, 1944, in Topeka.
Their children and spouses are Nancy and Bill Hodgson, Woodenville, Va., and Jane and Harold Lane, Topeka. Their son, David Bachman Sr., is deceased.
His widow, Jeanne Bachman, lives in Tucson, Ariz.
Their eight grandchildren and spouses are David Bachman Jr., Chris and Laura Bachman and Matt Bachman, all of Virginia; Brian and Torrie Hodgson, Devin Hodgson, and Jay and Angi Hodgson, all of Washington; and Laurie and Jason Oesterreich and Dan and Sandy Lane, all of Topeka.
They have four great-grandchildren, Madeleine Hodgson, Catherine Bachman, Abigail Bachman and Evan Oesterreich.
Mr. Bachman retired in 1979 as a supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service after 35 years of service.
Mrs. Bachman is a homemaker.
She has worked in retail sales and as a volunteer.

Jim and Marilyn Armstrong - 40th
F.T. "Jim" and Marilyn Armstrong, Silver Lake, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary as guests of honor at an open house from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 14, 2004 at the home of their daughter at 914 S.W. Cambridge in Topeka.
Jim Armstrong and Marilyn Meggison were high school sweethearts.
They were married Feb. 14, 1964, in Holton.
Hosts will be their three children and spouses, Laurie and Chris Gaines, Schell City, Mo.; Jim and Lisa Armstrong, Kansas City, Mo.; and Jodi Armstrong, Topeka.
They have two grandsons, Aaron Gaines, Schell City, Mo., and Spencer Armstrong, Kansas City, Mo.
Mr. Armstrong retired in March 2003 from Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway after 39 years of service.
Mrs. Armstrong is employed by Capper's Insurance.
