Henry and Kathryn Berg - 50th
Henry and Kathryn Berg, Topeka, will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at a reception from 3 to 5 p.m. April 4, 2004 at Aboud's at Western Hills, 8533 S.W. 21st.
Henry Berg and Kathryn Onek were married April 4, 1954, at Zion Lutheran Church in Hiawatha.
Hosts will be their children, Tim Berg, Lynnette Berg, Scott Berg and Katy Berg, all of Topeka; Anne Bowers, Wakarusa; and Jeanette Torok, Olathe.
The couple have two grandchildren.
Mr. Berg served in the military from 1952-54.
During their early marriage years, he was in the grocery business.
He then spent 30 years as an independent insurance agent until he retired.

Alfred and Phyllis Blevins - 50th
Alfred and Phyllis Blevins, Council Grove, will observe their 50th wedding anniversary on April 3, 2004.
They celebrated on a Caribbean cruise in January accompanied by relatives and friends.
Alfred Blevins and Phyllis Lippe were married April 3, 1954, in Topeka.
Their four children and spouses are Mike and Katie Blevins, Tigard, Ore.; Zack Blevins, Topeka; Tom Blevins, Ann Arbor, Mich.; and Beth and Larry Briggs, Salina.
The couple have four granddaughters and two grandsons, Amy Blevins, Seattle; Kelly Blevins, at Kansas State University; Wendy Blevins, Tigard; Travis Briggs, Wichita; Emily Briggs, at The University of Kansas; and Nathan Abernathy, Topeka.
Mr. Blevins retired in 1984 from Yellow Freight Systems as operations manager.
Mrs. Blevins retired in 1986 as a learning disabilities teacher in the Auburn-Washburn School District after 17 years of service.

John and Marcella Briery - 60th
John and Marcella Briery, Topeka, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary on March 4 in Ames, Iowa, as guests of the Lady Jayhawks basketball team at their game with Iowa State University.
The following Sunday they were honored with a family celebration at Highland Park United Methodist Church in Topeka, followed by a dinner at a local restaurant.
Attending were their two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Bill Reynolds, Lawrence, and Zona and Steve Hudkins, Topeka, and all but one grandchild and a great-grandchild.
The couple have three granddaughters and one grandson, and seven great-granddaughters and one great-grandson.
John Briery and Marcella Frost were high school sweethearts while John attended Topeka High School and Marcella attended Highland Park.
They were married March 4, 1944, in Muskogee, Okla., where Mr. Briery was in Army Air Force pilot training.
