Thaine and Carol Hoffman, Topeka, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary at an open house from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. June 13, 2004 at University United Methodist Church at S.W. 17th and College.
Hosts will be their daughter and son-in-law, Michelle and Rick Fleming, Topeka, and their grandchildren, Bethany, Cassidy, Natalie, Melody, Lydia and Eric Fleming.
Thaine Hoffman and Carol Kolman were married June 7, 1964, at the Christian Church in Morrowville.

Mark and Joyce Pierson, Topeka, will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary at a reception from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. June 12, 2004 at Shawnee North Community Center, 300 N.E. 43rd.
Mark Pierson and Joyce Calhoon were married June 12, 1964, in Topeka.
They are lifelong Topekans.
Reception hosts will be the couple's four children and spouses, Joy and Link Boyd, Great Bend; Jeff and Michele Pierson, Haysville; Jason and Renai Pierson, Collyer; and Jill and Carlos Garcia, Chicago.
The Piersons have seven grandchildren.
Elsie June and Vernie Tucker - 55th
Vernie and Elsie June Tucker, rural Carbondale, will celebrate their 55th wedding anniversary June 5, 2004 with a family picnic at their farm.
Elsie June Garrett and Vernie Tucker were married June 5, 1949, at First Presbyterian Church in Topeka with Dr. Orlo L. Choguill officiating.
Their three children are Dr. Teresa Tucker, Carbondale; Tom Tucker and David Tucker, Alamosa, Colo.
They have three grandchildren, Amanda, Dustin and Davis.
