Ashley Hickman, the daughter of Gerald and Gina Hickman of Garfield, and Ryan Mitchell, son of Jim and Mary Mitchell of Olathe, were united in marriage Nov. 29, 2003 at United Methodist Church of Rozel.
The Rev. Tony Horsley officiated the double-ring ceremony.
Given in marriage by her father, she wore a white halter-style dress with cathedral-length train and veil and carried a bouquet of white Calla Lilies.
Maid of Honor was the bride’s sister, Lexie Hickman of Garfield. Matron of Honor was the bride’s sister, Megan Barfield of Great Bend.
Bridesmaids were Stacey Mitchell of Overland Park, sister of the groom; Jeslyn Woods of Larned and Jamie Burger of Garfield.
They wore black and white dresses of varying styles and carried white Calla Lilies.
Best Man was Shaun Elmore of Great Bend.
Best bachelor was Jeff Mitchell of Henning, Minn., brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were Jayson Barfield of Wichita, Justin Barfield of Great Bend and Mike Barfield of Hays.
Ring bearer was Dalton Barfield of Great Bend, nephew of the bride.
Flower girls were Sarah and Hailey Fisher of Palco, cousins of the bride.
Ushers were Josh Smith of Overland Park and Brandon Mitchell of Salina.
Taper lighter was Camryn Bryant, cousin of the bride.

The bride is a graduate of Larned High School and Barton County Community College.
She received an associate of applied science degree in graphic design and is employed by Aquila Inc. in Great Bend.
The groom is a graduate of Pawnee Heights High School and Johnson County Community College.
He received a degree in HVAC and is employed by M & F Plumbing Inc. of Great Bend and Larned.
