Matson-Mathes
Hayley Matson became the bride of Maj. Michael Mathes in a 2 p.m. ceremony Nov. 11, 2000, at the Main Post Chapel at Fort Leavenworth. Lt. Col. William F. Carey, chaplain, officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Leonard and Hulda Matson of Clifton.
The groom is the son of George and Gloria Mathes of Greeley, Colo.
Angela Giebar Hayes, Manhattan, was matron of honor.
The bridesmaids were Kelly Bradin, Leavenworth; Donna Cook, Louisburg; and Vicky Mathes, Pasadena, Calif., sister of the groom.
Lt. Col. Jon Lehr, Fort Campbell, Ky., was best man.
The groomsmen were Dr. Don Crawford, San Antonio; Maj. Joe Fetter, Manila, the Philippines; and Maj. Patrick Mathes, Washington, D.C., brother of the groom.
A dinner and dance followed at the Frontier Conference Center in Leavenworth.
The groom is a major in the U.S. Army in Honolulu and a division planner with the 25th Infantry.
They honeymooned at Papeete, Tahiti, and Bora Bora.
They live in Honolulu.
