Haag-Scheve
Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Topeka was the setting for the wedding of Lisa Ann Haag and Francis Gene Scheve on July 14, 2000.
The 6:30 p.m. nuptial Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Francis Krische and the Rev. Tim Haberkorn.
The bride is the daughter of Thomas J. and Ida Lynn Haag of Auburn.
She is the granddaughter of Harold and Clara Haag of Olpe.
The groom is the son of Evelyn Rodgers and Edward Scheve, both of of Olpe.
Carrie Keuser, Topeka, was matron of honor. Also attending the bride were Kendra Simmer, Topeka; Jordan Scheve, Olathe; and Kameron Braman, Buffalo.
Brent Dean, Madison, was best man. The groomsmen were Stephen Scheve, Sugarland, Texas; Austin Braman, Buffalo; and Spencer Scheve, Olathe.
The flower girls were Jayden Haag and MacKenzie Sexe.
Randall Schmidt was the ring bearer.
The candlelighters were Madison Scheve, Olathe, and Victoria Dean, Madison.
The ushers were Ernie Haag and Gary Haag of Topeka; Clay Braman, Buffalo; and Brian Schmidt, Olpe.
Julie Haag, Kansas City, Mo., and Kathy Braman, Buffalo, were at the guest book.
The lectors were Lillian Spellman, Emporia, and Stephanie Schmitz, Topeka.
A reception followed in the Sunflower Ballroom of the Manor Conference Center at the Kansas Expocentre.
The bride is a graduate of Hayden High School and Washburn University with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and a master's degree in special education.
She is a sixth grade special education teacher at Lowther North Intermediate School at Emporia.
The groom is a graduate of Olpe High School and Emporia State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing.
He is a salesman for Navrat's Office Products in Emporia.
After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the newlyweds reside in Emporia.
