The bride is the daughter of Richard and Rebecca Smith of Topeka.
She is the granddaughter of Hilda Smith of Topeka and the late Joseph Smith, Mark Kirk of Topeka, and Robert and Jean Kirk of Topeka.
The bridegroom is the son of Sheree Gomez, Topeka, and the late Dennis McDonald.
He is the grandson of John and Betty Myers of Topeka, and Kenneth McDonald of Topeka and the late Joyce McDonald.
Amy Bauer, Topeka, was matron of honor. Jenifer Baurle and Tammy Schneider, both of Topeka, were bridesmaids.
Bryan McDonald, Topeka, brother of the groom, was best man.
Chad Middleton, Topeka, and Denny Fisher, Independence, were groomsmen.
Mayme Gomez, sister of the groom, was the candlelighter.
The flower girl was Morgan Schneider.
Serving as ushers were Troy Smith, brother of the bride, and Brett Bauer.
The guest book and gift attendants were Josie Pagel and Liesel Kirk, cousins of the bride. All are of Topeka.
A reception followed at The Woodward, and a dance followed that evening at Lake Shawnee.
The couple honeymooned at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
The bride is a graduate of Topeka High School and Washburn University with a bachelor's degree in English. She is privately employed.
The groom is a graduate of Topeka High School and attends Washburn University majoring in computer information science.
He is a computer programmer for Shawnee County.
The couple live in Topeka.
