Murphy - Swain
Carrie Ann Murphy and Gunner Swain exchanged wedding vows aboard the Carnival cruise ship Ecstasy on Jan. 15, 2001.
Officiating at the 1 p.m. ceremony was the Rev. Betty Reyes.
The bride is the daughter of Bonnie and Marlon Jackson of Burlingame and the late Larry Murphy.
The bridegroom is the son of Cathey Whitegon, Topeka.
A local reception followed the newlyweds' return from their honeymoon in Cozumel, Mexico, and the Florida Keys.
Mrs. Swain is a graduate of Burlingame High School and attended The University of Kansas.
She is employed at Southwest Caging Publisher.
Mr. Swain is a graduate of Topeka West High School and attended Kansas State University.
He will leave in several weeks for the U.S. Great Lakes Naval Base north of Chicago, serving in the U.S. Navy.
The newlyweds plan to live in the Chicago area.
