Carla Renee Cook became the bride of Wyatt Ray Sturgeon in a 4 p.m. ceremony Nov. 4, 2000, at First United Methodist Church in Emporia.
The Rev. Norton C. Ritter officiated.
The bride's parents are Shirley Shaver of Augusta and Daniel Cook of El Dorado. The bridegroom's parents are Curtis and Sandy Sturgeon of Meriden.
Laurie McEnery, Lawrence, was maid of honor. Wes Sturgeon, Fort Collins, Colo., was best man.
The newlyweds live in Lawrence.
