Deanna L. Uhl became the bride of Todd W. Weekes in a 6 p.m. ceremony Sept. 15, 2001, at Seaman Congregational Church in Topeka.
The Rev. Del Downs, uncle of the bride, officiated at the 6 p.m. service.
The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Debbie Uhl of Topeka.
She is the granddaughter of Roy and Roberta Uhl and Delbert and Virginia Downs, all of Topeka.
The bridegroom is the son of Clayton and Kathy Weekes of Topeka and grandson of Ellen Freeman of Topeka.
Staci Petersen was matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Robyn Chesney and Rachel Defendorf.
Matt Dohrman was best man. The groomsmen were Adam Foster and Tracy Large.
The flower girl was Hannah Leeds. Blake Defendorf was the ring bearer. Serving as ushers were David Uhl, Jon Newman and Erik Traxler. Jonna Williamson and Ryan Moranz were the guest book and program attendants. The gift attendants were Kylie Graves and Kyle Marker.
Music was provided by soprano saxophonist Darren Downs, uncle of the bride; pianist David Uhl, brother of the bride; and the Studio String Quartet.
A reception followed at the Kansas Museum of History.
The bride is a graduate of Seaman High School and Washburn University with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She is employed by SKC Communication Products in Olathe.
The groom is a graduate of Rossville High School. He is employed by Shawnee Mission Ford.
After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the newlyweds are at home in Olathe.
