Jennifer Behnke and Christopher Phillips were married on July 10, 2004 at Assembly of God in Great Bend. Rev. Travis Dumond, officiated the double ring ceremony. Parents of the bride are Wayne and Tanya Behnke of Bushton and Carla Phillips of Lawrence and the late Lee Phillips. Bride’s grandparents are Helen Behnke of Bushton and Dolores Devine of Larned. The groom’s grandfather is Aurthur Schulz of St. John. The bride was given in marriage by her father. Gretchen Kramp served as matron of honor and bridesmaids were Megan Ewing, Micah Janzen and Leslee Wisdom. Tony Van Horn served as the best man with Craig Phillips, brother of the groom, Daniel Fonseca and Dustin Arnold serving as groomsmen. Ciera Kade, bride’s cousin, was the flower girl. Mostyn Phillips, groom’s nephew, was the ring bearer. Ushers were Ben Behnke, Nate Cmelik, Wes Moore and Kyungin Kim. The bride is a graduate of Sterling College and Kansas State University. She is attending Kansas State School of Veterinary Medicine. The groom is a graduate of Sterling College. He a senior at Kansas State University majoring in Elementary Education. The couple makes their home in Manhattan.
