Casey - Linsey
Laura J. Casey and Russell Linsey exchanged marriage vows Oct. 28, 2000, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in McCracken. The nuptial Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Eugene Kenny.
The bride is the daughter of Patrick and Frances Casey of McCracken.
The bridegroom is the son of Howard Dean and Carolyn Linsey of Silver Lake and the grandson of Raymond Blauvelt of Plainville, Conn.
The bride was escorted by her parents.
Patricia Harmon, Hays, was her sister's matron of honor. The bridesmaids were the bride's sisters, Carolyn Schadel, Alexander; Cheryl Wiesner, Las Vegas; and Karen Shumake, Saginaw, Texas.
Jim Benteman, Topeka, was best man. The groomsmen were Chuck Walker, Brownell; Dean Linsey, Silver Lake, brother of the groom; and Dwayne Richardson, Brownell.
Brianna Casey, Plainville, godchild and niece of the bride, was the flower girl. The ring bearer was Tyler Hart, Saginaw, Texas, great-nephew of the bride. Candles were lighted by Trina Casey, Copeland, niece of the bride, and Michele Linsey, Silver Lake, niece of the groom.
The lectors were Jerry Casey, Plainville, brother of the bride, and Jessica Casey, Plainville, niece of the bride. Amanda and Justin Casey, Plainville, niece and nephew of the bride, were the altar servers. Galen Schmidtberger, Salina, was the soloist and guitarist.
The ushers were Chris Casey, Wichita; Kevin Casey, Bentonville, Ark.; Don Casey, Johnson; and Daryl Casey, Copeland, all brothers of the bride. The guest book attendants were Anna Irvin, McCracken, and Erin Casey, Copeland, niece of the bride.
Programs were given to the guests by Kelli Casey, Johnson, and Jamie Casey, Hanston, nieces of the bride. Bubble liquid was distributed by Katie and Emma Casey, Hanston, and Rachel and Candice Casey, Johnson, all nieces of the bride.
A reception and dinner followed the Mass. The reception hostesses were Christi Schneider, WaKeeney; Amanda Showalter, La Crosse; and the bride's nieces Holly Anders and Heather Hart, both of Fort Worth, Texas.
The dinner servers were Jackie Casey, Connie Conner, Helena McGaughey, Sandra Jacobs, Ruthetta Irvin and Cathy Casey.
The bride is employed at Kids' Corner Daycare Center and also is a personal health-care provider in La Crosse.
The groom is employed by Larry Weeks of Brownell.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Colorado. They live in rural Brownell.
