Gabbard - Book
Amanda Suzanne Gabbard and Keith Everett Book exchanged marriage vows Sept. 30, 2000, at First United Methodist Church in Topeka.
The Rev. Michael Chamberlain officiated at the 4:30 p.m. service.
The bride is the daughter of Rebecca and Flynn O'Malley of Topeka and Glen and Joyce Gabbard of Topeka. She is the granddaughter of Ruth and Max White of Charleston, Ill., and Lucy and Glendon Gabbard of Chicago.
The bridegroom is the son of Renee and Bernard H. Book Jr. of Floyds Knobs, Ind. He is the grandson of June and Frank Bierman and Daisy Book, all of Floyds Knobs.
Abigail Gabbard of Chicago and Allison Gabbard of Lawrence stood with their sister as her maids of honor. The bridesmaids were Jennifer Ricci, Chicago; Catherine Hesse, New York City; Susan Scott, St. Louis; and Jill Lustig, New York City.
Brett Hemmerling, Lincoln, Neb., was best man. Also attending the groom were Danny Kellams and Daneil Emms, both of Indiana; Ashley Green, New York City; and Patrick O'Malley, Topeka, brother of the bride.
The ushers were Earl White, Paul White, Mark White and John White, uncles of the bride, and Matthew Gabbard, brother of the bride. The guest book and gift attendants were Chelese White, Brooke White and Myra Gottl, cousins of the bride.
The readers were Elizabeth Gottl, aunt of the bride, and Susan Bierman, aunt of the groom. Jeff Templin was the soloist, and Sharon Hettinger was the organist.
A reception and dance followed at The Top of the Tower in Topeka. The reception hostesses were Constance Anderson, Peggy Morford and Diane Johnson.
The bride is a graduate of Topeka West High School and Webster University Conservatory of the Arts in St. Louis with a bachelor's degree in musical theater. She is an actress based in New York City.
The groom is a graduate of Floyd Central High School, Floyds Knobs, and the Webster University Conservatory of the Arts in St. Louis with a bachelor's degree in musical theater. He is an actor based in New York City.
After a honeymoon trip to Bermuda, the newlyweds reside in New York City.
