Ruempler - Wanless
Shannon Beth Ruempler became the bride of Berry McAlester Wanless on May 27, 2000, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Alexandria, Va.
The Rev. Lowell Schuetze officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ruempler of Alexandria, Va., and the bridegroom is the son of Mary Dorsey Wanless and Dr. Kirk M. Wanless, both of Topeka.
Laurie Buschmann was maid of honor.
The bridesmaids were Mary McClelland and the groom's sisters, Dorsey Wanless, Sarah Wanless and Betsy Wanless.
Andrew Moyer was best man.
Also attending the groom were Charles Garten, Kerrin Kramer, James Ritchott and Machir Stull, cousin of the groom.
A reception followed at Morrison House.
The bride and groom are graduate students at the University of Michigan, where the bride is pursuing a degree in early childhood development and the groom is pursuing a degree in urban planning.
The newlyweds honeymooned in Capri and Sorento, Italy.
They reside in Ann Arbor, Mich.
