Jerry Gagelman and Birthe Templin were united in marriage on July 16, 2004 in Emden, Germany. Jerry is the son of Rita Gagelman of Kansas City, Mo., and the late Merlin Gagelman. He is a graduate of Great Bend High School and completed a doctorate in mathematics in May from the University of Illinois. Birthe is the daughter of Ewald and Gisela Templin of Emden, Germany. Birthe is a film director. Friends and family are invited to a wedding reception honoring the newlyweds from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sept. 19 at Peace Lutheran Church, south of Albert. The couple resides in Berlin, Germany.
