Amie Janette Thompson and Mitchell Grant Harrison were united in marriage at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 4, 2000, at Lenexa United Methodist Church in Lenexa with the Rev. Jan Todd officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Scott and Diana Thompson of Osage City.
She is the granddaughter of Bob and Betty Lindbloom and Howard and Carol Thompson, all of Osage City.
Parents of the bridegroom are Ron and Jane Harrison of Olathe.
He is the grandson of Joan Mankopf of Kirksville, Mo., and Sam and Jean Harrison of Fairfield, Iowa.
Alison Degnan, Roeland Park, was maid of honor.
The bridesmaids were Jill Lemire, White Bear Lake, Minn.; Annette Patterson, Grainger, Ind., cousin of the bride; Pam Thompson, Tonganoxie, sister-in-law of the bride; and Stacy Pinick, Topeka, cousin of the bride.
Randy Burgard, Lenexa, was best man.
The groomsmen were Terry Dukes, Gardner; John Krump, Overland Park; Eric Thompson, Tonganoxie, brother of the bride; and Andy Zebley, Overland Park.
Kate Patterson and Luke Patterson, cousins of the bride, were the flower girl and ring bearer.
Candles were lighted by Michelle Harrison, Overland Park, sister of the groom, and Mike Tomlinson, Roeland Park.
Serving as ushers were Brian Pinick, Topeka, cousin of the bride, and Chris Fox and Greg Fox, both of Lenexa.
Guests were greeted by Karen Hutchison, Overland Park. Angie Steinman, Belton, Mo., was in charge of gifts. Karen Olson, Osage City, was the organist and vocalist.
A reception and dance followed at the Shawnee Civic Center in Shawnee.
The bride is a graduate of Osage City High School and attended Johnson County Community College in Overland Park.
She is employed by Statscript Pharmacy in Kansas City, Mo.
The groom is a graduate of Olathe North High School and is a student at Johnson County Community College pursuing certification as a computer network engineer.
He is employed by Broadwing in Lenexa.
The newlyweds live in Shawnee.
