The bride is the daughter of Donald and Laura Schafer of Topeka.
The bridegroom is the son of Ann and Ed Haremza of Larned and Dennis Cook of Hoisington.
Valerie Kindler, Gorham, was maid of honor.
The bridesmaids were Erica Martin, Topeka, and Joy Williams, Basehor.
Garet Fitzpatrick, Rush Center, was best man. Denny Zook, Larned, and Jason Chard, Bennington, served as groomsmen.
A reception followed at the Holiday Inn in Hays.
The bride is employed by the Hays Language Institute as curriculum coordinator.
The groom is a teacher and coach at Thomas Moore Prep-Marian High School in Hays and also teaches at Holy Family Elementary School in Hays.
After a honeymoon trip to Las Vegas, the newlyweds are at home in Hays.
