Lori Lynne Streit became the bride of Pfc. Denny Lee Smith on Jan. 6, 2003, at the courthouse in Honolulu, Hawaii.

The bride is the daughter of Duane and Diane Streit of Guide Rock, Neb.

The groom is the son of Frances and Ronald Shutts of Topeka and Nelson and Ruth Smith of Carthage, Mo.

A formal wedding is being planned when the groom returns on leave from the U.S. Army in Hawaii and the Philippines.

The newlyweds plan to live in Guide Rock, Neb.
