Curtin - Hollis

Danielle Marie Curtin and Brandon Heath Hollis exchanged wedding vows in a double-ring ceremony June 22, 2002, at First Assembly of God Church in Coffeyville.

The Rev. Philip Hollis, father of the groom, and the Rev. James Newman, brother-in-law of the bride, officiated at the 3 p.m. service.

The bride is the daughter of Paulette Curtin Hale, Cherryvale, and the granddaughter of Marie and Tony Hale, Rogersville, Mo.

The bridegroom is the son of the Rev. Philip and Sheila Hollis, Topeka. He is the grandson of the Rev. Oliver and Norma Hollis, Topeka, and Katherine McKee, Waxahachie, Texas, and the late Paul McKee.

Danny Jackson played the "Trumpet Voluntary" for the presentation of the bride.

Canon in D was played by a string quartet that included Seth Jones, Judy Jones, Davis Canaday and Mark Stauffer.

Vocal music was provided by the bride and groom. The bride sang "I Will Be Here," and the groom sang and played an original love song he had written for their wedding day.

The bride was escorted by her grandfather, Ross Tony Hale, Rogersville, Mo. She wore a diamond bracelet given to her by the groom as a wedding present.

Shonda Newman was her sister's matron of honor. The bridesmaids were Heather Coda, Lea Newman, Kim Hockenbury, and Jennifer Hollis, sister-in-law of the groom.

Jason Hollis stood with his brother as best man. The groomsmen were Adrian Greene, Justin Palmer, Peter Tipton and Bob Bernard.

The flower girl was Loran Danielle Michael, cousin of the bride. The ring bearers were Dylan Barnett and Logan Palmer. The bubbles and bells attendant was Conner Michael, cousin of the bride.

Serving as ushers were Jason Vanfleet, cousin of the bride, John Hooper, Cedrick Patterson and Shadon Satter.

A reception followed at the church. Reception and other assistants were Kelli Wagoner, Stacia Majewski, Jenny Daniel and Becky Greene, and the bride's cousins, Karin Taylor and Chantell Liles.

The bride is a graduate of Cherryvale High School and attended Labette County Community College and Washburn University, where she majored in nursing. She is employed by the Cotton-O'Neil Clinic as a licensed practical nurse. She expects to graduate in the spring of 2004 from Johnson County Community College in Overland Park with an associate degree in nursing as a registered nurse.

The groom is a graduate of Seaman High School and graduated summa cum laude from Washburn University with a bachelor's degree in music education and a minor in business. He is a music teacher in the Royal Valley School District. He also served as music minister at Faith Family Life Center in Topeka for seven years and teaches piano lessons at Donna Allen's Keyboard Center in Topeka.

The newlyweds honeymooned at Margarita Island in Venezuela. Mr. and Mrs. Hollis reside in Topeka. They plan to move to Olathe.
