Allison Mary Joy and Jeffrey John Reisbig were married on Oct. 12, 2004 aboard the Caribbean Cruise Lines ship named Triumph, while in the port of St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands. The Rev. Debra Williams, officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Robert Joy of Great Bend, Loretta and Greg Kellar of Albert, Sue and Steve Hollingsworth of McPherson and John and Sherry Reisbig of Spokane, Wash. The bride wore an A-line gown of white satin with solid beaded embroidery, gathered side drape and lace-up back. She wore a metal tiara with a white fingertip length two-tier veil with a corded edge. Her bouquet was a tropical floral arrangement. A post-wedding reception was held on Nov. 6 at the V. F. W. in Manhattan. The bride is a 1997 graduate of Pratt Community College with an associate’s degree in science; a 1999 graduate of Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology; and received a Master of Science in family studies and human services from Kansas State University in 2002. She is working toward a doctorate in human ecology at Kansas State University, with expected graduation in 2006. The groom attended the University of Kansas, then transferred to Kansas State University, receiving a Bachelor of Science degree in social sciences in 2000. He is employed by Pepsi-Cola of Manhattan. The couple makes their home in Manhattan.
