Kristen Suzanne Prosser, daughter of Ronald and Mauricia Prosser of Great Bend and Rick Clark Walker, son of Betty Griffin and Dennis Hagner of Long Beach, Calif., and Rick and Jacki Walker of Delphos, were united in marriage June 26, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church in Great Bend. The Rev. John Griffin of Hollywood, Calif., officiated the double-ring ceremony. Given by her father in marriage, the bride wore a strapless Christian Michele gown in white satin with beaded lace bodice and hemline detail, detachable train and custom bridal veil. She carried a round bouquet made of silk flowers consisting of light purple roses, white tiger lilies, yellow jasmines and deep purple hibiscus with streamers of pearls and ribbon. Matron of honor was Aimee Riegel of Lawrence. Bridesmaids were Renee Birzer of Manhattan, Krista Boltman of Woodlandpark, Colo., Alicia Tittel of Lawrence, and Denise Dibble of Houston, Texas, cousin of the bride. They wore Alfred Angelo, two-piece, celadon gowns in styles of their choice. They also carried bouquets made of silk flowers consisting of white roses, dark purple tiger lilies, light purple jasmines and deep purple hibiscus with streamers of dark purple ribbon. Best men were Mike Walker of Manhattan, brother of the groom, and Chad Jacobs of Greeley, Colo. Groomsmen were Josh Moss of Hoxie, Allen Nelson and Kyle Lewis, both of Lawrence. Ushers were Doug Prosser and Mark Prosser, brothers of the bride, both of Great Bend, Ryan Mauk of Hays, and Jason Riegel of Lawrence. Flower girl was Allyson Walker, cousin of the groom, of Lindsborg. Ring bearer was Andrew Walker of Delphos, brother of the groom. Organist was Brad Shire of Great Bend. Grandparents of the couple are Margaret Prosser of Great Bend, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Walker of Oberlin, Dorothy Hagner and Jack Schofner of Whittier, Calif., the late Joseph D. Prosser, the late Mr. and Mrs. George A. Day and the late Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Griffin. The bride is a 2000 graduate of Great Bend High School and will graduate in December 2004 from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in communications studies. She is employed as a marketing assistant for Peoples Bank of Lawrence. The groom is a 2000 graduate of St. Francis Community High School and a 2002 graduate of Northwest Technical College where he studied telecommunications. He is employed by M&R Trucking of Delphos. The couple resides in Lawrence.
