Michelle Lee Hiss and Aaron Gabriel Peck were united in marriage Feb. 21, 2004 at First Presbyterian Church in Great Bend with the Rev. Hal Staats officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Rick and Tina Hiss of Great Bend.
She is the granddaughter of Elward and JoAnn Hiss and Elsena Bender, all of Great Bend, and the late Hubert Bender.
The groom is the son of Bob and Cindy Peck of Salina.
He is the grandson of Bill and Lucy Peck of Salina and the late Gus and Bonnie Reed.
The bride chose an elegant bridal white matte satin gown styled in a traditional Basque waist silhouette, featuring a strapless mock wrap bodice delicately beaded at the top in Swarovski crystals, rhinestones and seed beads.
The slim A-line skirt swept into a sweep chapel train and featured a band of matching beadwork at the hem.
The bride’s shoulder-length illusion veil fell from a narrow headband of Swarovski crystals.
Her bridal attendants chose black matte satin gowns in a similar strapless silhouette with mermaid skirts and a fishtail hem at the back.
Maid of honor was Colleen Foote.
Bridesmaids were Julie York, Kari Freymuth, Amber Plumb, Nancy Hull and Camille Boisseau.
Best man was Eli Peck, brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were Todd Henderson, cousin of the groom, Ryan Beckman, Kurt Parde, Ryan Vignery and Brent Curtis.
Veronica Hiss, cousin of the bride, was flower girl.
Britton Praytor, cousin of the groom, was ring bearer.
Josh Allford and Kelli Pitman, cousins of the bride, were candle lighters.
Ushers were Brad Hiss, brother of the bride, Eddie Benoit, Nick Evancho and Dave Mahnke.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Jenny Allford, pianist, Brad Shirer, organist, J.B. Webster, trumpeter, Erin Aquirre, violinist and Melanie Calcara, vocalist.
The bride is a graduate of Great Bend High School and received a degree in secondary business education from Kansas State University.
She is a marketing and educational specialist for American Family Insurance Districts No. 660 and 654, based out of the Salina and Hutchinson areas.
The groom is a graduate from Salina Central High School and received a degree in religious studies from Bethany College.
He attended graduate school at Loyola University in Chicago.
He is an investment advisor for Waddell and Reed in Salina.
The couple reside in Salina.
