Abby Willis and Jeremiah Shull were married on Nov. 20, 2004 at the First Baptist Church in Winfield. Byron Barrientez officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Randy and Susan Willis of Hoisington and James and Emma Shull of Mulvane. Grandparents of the bride are Arlys and Margaret Wycoff of Great Bend and the late Julian and Alla Mae Willis. Grandparents of the groom are Warnie and Mildred Butler of Winfield and Lee and Newana Shull of Robinson, Ill. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a strapless satin A-line gown with an ivory-colored bodice and champagne-colored skirt. The bodice featured a dropped waist and a band of crystal and pearl beading at the top. Embroidered buttons on the back led to a gathered chapel-length train with a band of crystals and pearls at the hem. She carried a bouquet of ivory calla lilies and roses. Matron of honor was Julie Ann Jacobs of Ellinwood, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Jessica Langholz, sister of the groom, of Mulvane, Vanessa Hobbie of Greenville, S.C., Mary Anne Donley of Ellsworth, Jaime White of Savannah, Ga., and Sarah Detrich of Sioux Falls, S.D. They wore latte strapless satin A-line gowns with gathered sides and carried smaller versions of the bride’s bouquet. Best man was Joshua Shull of Phoenix, Ariz., brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Brock Sumpter of Mulvane, Benjamin Jacobs of Ellinwood and Bill Polley of Arkansas City. Junior bridesmaids were Alyssa Becker and Kaylee Becker of Axtell, Neb. The flower girl was Julia Denny of Overland Park, cousin of the bride. The ring bearer was Adam Pisano of Lenexa, cousin of the bride. The bride is a graduate of Hoisington High School and Sterling College. She is employed as a kindergarten teacher at Irving Elementary School in Winfield. The groom is a graduate of Mulvane High School and Cowley County Community College. He is employed by General Electric Engine Services in Winfield as an aircraft mechanic. The couple resides in Winfield.
