Aubrey Erin Montague and Grant Hamilton Mink were married on Jan. 22, 2005 at the Washburn University Ballroom in Topeka. Officiating the double-ring ceremony was Judge Nancy Parrish of Shawnee County Courts. Parents of the couple are Curtis and Denise Montague of Great Bend and Ronald and Bonnie Mink of Great Bend. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a champagne-colored A-line off-the-shoulder gown with sheer overlay and embroidered with gold sunflowers. She also wore a crown of wild sunflowers with royal blue ribbons trailing down the back. Her presentation bouquet was made up of large golden sunflowers, blue delphinium, misty blue limonium and bear grass. Bridesmaids were Sarah Feldt of Ann Arbor, Mich.; Amanda Titel of Lenexa; and Jessica Nelson of Great Bend. The bridesmaids wore their choice of various shades of blue and each carried three large sunflowers hand-tied with champagne ribbons. The groomsmen were Joaquin Sumaya of Topeka, Alan McFann of Lawrence and Andrew Nelson of Great Bend. Michala and Emma Bieker of Great Bend, cousins of the bride, were the flower girls. Music was provided by vocalists Mitchell Montague, Jessica and Andrew Nelson, all of Great Bend. The ushers were Dylan Montague, Mitchell Montague and Becky Howard, all of Great Bend. The bride is a graduate of the University of Kansas with a bachelor of science in biodiversity, ecology and evolutionary biology. She is a developmental disability technician of Kansas Neurological Institute in Topeka and behavioral aide for Integrated Behavioral Technologies in Olathe. The groom will graduate in May with a bachelor of science in criminal justice and a minor in psychology from Washburn University in Topeka. He is in assets protection from Target, interning at the Battered Women’s Task Force in Topeka. After graduation he plans to join the Topeka Police. The couple makes their home in Topeka.
