The marriage of Jenna Danielle Remmert to PFC Blake Alan Wornkey is announced by their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Rick Remmert of Great Bend and Mr. and Mrs. Tim Wornkey of Ellinwood. The couple was united in a double-ring ceremony on April 10, 2004 in a private garden service at the home of Larry and Jan Westfall. The bride chose an elegant diamond-white matte satin gown styled in a strapless princess silhouette, featuring a delicate beaded border across the fold-down bodice neckline. Her semi-full ballroom skirt swept into its own train accented by matching band of beading from the waist detail to the hemline. A petite angel-wing illusion veil fell from a crystal encrusted comb. The bride carried a hand-clutch bouquet of 12 red roses, seeded eucalyptus and loops of bear grass wrapped with camouflage ribbon to accent the bouquet. The bride graduated from Great Bend High School, Barton County Community College and is a May graduate of Fort Hays State University with a bachelor of social work. She is currently employed by St. Francis Academy in Great Bend. The bridegroom is a graduate of Ellinwood High School and attended Barton County Community College. He is a Private First Class in the U. S. Army stationed in Idar-Oberstein, Germany, awaiting deployment. A ceremony of promise and a celebration for their lives together will be held upon the groom’s return from overseas duty. Please keep this young couple in your hearts and prayers as Blake serves his country.
