Jessica Kamphaus and Jeff Ruble were married on Nov. 13, 2004, at St. Xavier Catholic Church in Junction City. Rev. Al Brungardt officiated the double-ring ceremony. Parents of the couple are Ray and Susan Kamphaus of Junction City, Kyle and Liz Schartz of Great Bend and the late Kirt Ruble. The bride, given in marriage by her parents, wore a strapless gown by Mon Cheri with lacing up the back. The ivory, fitted bodice was embellished with crystal beading, and the A-line skirt had a cathedral-length train also trimmed with crystal beading. She wore an elbow-length ivory veil and tiara. The bride’s bouquet of red roses was made by her mother, and she carried a red rosary belonging to her maternal grandmother and a handkerchief belonging to her paternal grandmother. Maids of honor were Vanessa Kamphaus and Erica Kamphaus, sisters of the bride, both of Junction City. Bridesmaids were Sherry Stibal and Mandy Kramer, both of Kansas City, and Ann Davis of Plano, Texas. The attendants wore floor-length, A-line red skirts with black, strapless tops with a red sash. They carried bouquets of red roses made by the bride’s mother. Tim Ruble, brother of the groom, of Great Bend, served as the best man. The groomsmen were Jason Mayers of Great Bend; Zachary Crane of Las Vegas, Nev..; Cody Phelan, Las Vegas, Nev.; and Jason Burhenn of Wichita. Music was provided by Manuel Pasquil of Junction City, organist and vocalist. Other vocalists were Michelle Matthews, and Brooke and Jeremy Krause (in addition to singing he played guitar as well), all of Junction City. Ushers were Jeb Vader of Kansas City and Luke Brown of Kansas City. Kami Hoffman and Petra Wolf, both of Kansas City, were the taper lighters. The bride is a 2001 graduate of Kansas State University with a bachelor of science degree. She is employed as a project coordinator for the Before/After Care, Liberty (Mo.) School District. The groom is a 2002 graduated of Kansas State University with a bachelor of science degree. He is employed as a sales representative for FEIST/Yellow Book. The couple makes their home in Olathe.
