Services for Madonna M. Wilson, 63, Basehor, were May 8, at the Open Door Baptist Church. Burial was in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, south of Harrisonville, Mo.
Mrs. Wilson died Thursday, May 3, at her home.
She was born Jan. 27, 1938, in Harrisonville, Mo. She was a life-long member of the Open Door Baptist Church in Kansas City, Kan., and had previously worked as a sales associate at the Metcalf South Sears store for more than 19 years, retiring in 1999.
Survivors include her husband, Donald L. Wilson, Basehor; two daughters, Doneen Childress, Topeka, and Donita Oehlert, Shawnee; two sons, Donald E. Wilson, Bonner Springs, and Donlee Wilson, Fort Worth, Texas; one sister, Anna Lee Moore, La Cygne; and six grandchildren.

Lula M. Snider
1904-2001
Services for Lula M. Snider, 96, Lawrence, were Monday, May 7, at Rumsey-Yost Funeral Home. Burial was in Mount Sidney Cemetery, Linwood.
Mrs. Snider died Thursday, May 3, at Lawrence Presbyterian Manor.
She was born Oct. 23, 1904, in Eudora, the daughter of Irvin and Myrtle (Hayes) Votaw. She attended Hesper grade school, graduated from Eudora High School in 1924 and graduated from Research Hospital Nurses training, Kansas City, Mo., in 1932. She moved to Lawrence in 1995 from Linwood.
Mrs. Snider was a member of Linwood United Methodist Church and Linwood Senior Citizens.
She married Ovid N. Snider on Aug. 25, 1935, in Eudora. He died July 16, 1994.
Survivors include a son, Sid Snider, Lawrence; a brother, Everett Votaw, Eudora; a sister, Blanch Knabe, Eudora; and a grandchild.

Gerald Soetaert

Services for Gerald Soetaert, 61, Tonganoxie, are May 11 at the Quisenberry Chapel, Tonganoxie. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Shawnee.
Mr. Soetaert died Monday, May 7, at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.
He was born June 27, 1939, in Kansas City, Kan., the son of George and Geneva Soetaert. He retired from Procter and Gamble after 33 years as a laboratory technician. He was married to Kay Emery in 1985.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Christine Nabors.
Survivors include his mother, Geneva Soetaert; his wife, Kay Soetaert, Tonganoxie; five sons, Mark, McLouth, Michael, Kansas City, Mo., John Soetaert, St. Joseph, Mo., and Shaun and Scott Soetaert, both of Tonganoxie; three brothers, George Soetaert, Corona de Tucson, Ariz., Tony Soetaert, Shawnee, and Robert Soetaert, Spring, Texas; one sister, Sheila Custer, Kansas City, Kan.; 11 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

Services for Alice Beale, 74, Adrian, Mo., were May 9 at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home, Bonner Springs. Burial was in Old Monticello Cemetery, Shawnee.
Mrs. Beale died Saturday, May 5, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kansas City, Mo.
She was born Jan. 31, 1927, in Shawnee. She was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church, but most recently attended the Altoona Baptist Church in Adrian, Mo. She attended the senior activities in Adrian, Mo.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Lydia Widmer and her brothers, Casper Widmer and Horold Widmer.
Survivors include one son, Donald Beale, Apache Junction, Ariz.; one daughter, Linda Miller, Bonner Springs; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
