H. Paul Langston, 79, Shawnee, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2004, at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were Wednesday at the Amos Family Chapel of Shawnee, with burial in Pleasant View Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday at the chapel. The family suggests contributions to the American Heart Association.
Mr. Langston was born Nov. 18, 1925, in Kansas City, Mo. He was an electrical supervisor for Smith & Loveless before retiring. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.
He was an avid bowler and a youth bowling instructor for more than 25 years. He coached baseball and softball and loved to hunt and fish as well as play the guitar.
Survivors include the wife, Elizabeth May Langston, of the home; a son, Randy Langston, and his wife, Julie, of Lenexa; a daughter, Diane Burkitt, Lawrence; three grandsons, Andy, Beau and Casey Burkitt, and two great-grandsons, Caleb and Maddox Burkitt.

Harold W. Jones
1919-2004
Tonganoxie
Harold W. Jones, 85, Tonganoxie, died Thursday, Dec. 2, 2004, at the Tonganoxie Nursing Center, Tonganoxie.
Cremation. No memorial services are planned.
Mr. Jones was born Sept. 19, 1919, in McLouth, the son of Walter and Stella (Hass) Jones. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran and member of the Tonganoxie Friends Church. He was a retired farmer, postal clerk and rural mail carrier in the Tonganoxie area.
Survivors include a brother, Glenn A. Jones, and a sister, Helen Redman, both of Grand Junction, Colo.
Quisenberry Funeral Home, Tonganoxie, was in charge of arrangements.
William I. Graber, Jr.
1956-2004
Kansas City, Kan.
William I. Graber Jr., 47, Kansas City, Kan, formerly of Bonner Springs, died Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2004, at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kan.
Funeral services were Tuesday at the Alden-Harrington Funeral Home in Bonner Springs with burial in Leavenworth National VA Cemetery.
The family suggests memorial contributions to KCMO VAMC for Dialysis Treatment.
Mr. Graber was born Dec. 18, 1956, in St. Louis, Mo. He was a U.S. Army veteran and had previously worked for Berkel Construction Co. as a truck driver before he became disabled in 1997. He was a member of Rehms Park Southern Baptist Church in Bonner Springs.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William Graber Sr. in 1997 and Barbara Graber in 1996.
Survivors include his wife, Melissa Graber, of the home; a son, William I. Graber III, Shawnee; a brother, Roger Graber, Kansas City, Kan.; three sisters, Sally Darby, Las Vegas, Nev.; Tammy Arnold, Lenexa; and Laura Graber, Bonner Springs; two aunts, Patricia Shores, Kansas City, Kan.; and Mary Harwell, Manhattan; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Chester A. Fleming
1910-2004
Eudora
Services for Chester Alden Fleming, 94, Eudora, were at 1 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Eudora. Burial was in Eudora Cemetery.
Mr. Fleming died Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at the Eudora Nursing Center.
He was born Dec. 4, 1910, in Salina, the son of John A. and Bertha Holmes Fleming.
Mr. Fleming graduated in 1940 from the Kansas University School of Law. He worked for the federal government as a claims representative, claims authorizer, field representative, acting manager and supervisor for the Social Security Administration. After retiring as a supervisor, he practiced law in Eudora for five years.
He was a 70-year member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, where he was a choir member and served on the church council. He was a member of the Scottish Rite Mason-Doric Lodge No. 83 AF & AM in Eudora, serving twice as master. He also had been president of the Eudora Township Library board of directors.
He married Violet Gerstenberger on Aug. 29, 1936. She survives, at the home.
Other survivors include a son, Carl Fleming, Eudora; a daughter, Karin McKean, Wichita; a brother, Bill Fleming, Falfurrias, Texas; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
One granddaughter died earlier.
