Charlotte M. Liebl
DODGE CITY - Charlotte M. Liebl, 85, died Jan. 16, 2001, at her home in Dodge City.
She was born June 4, 1915, near Bellefont, the daughter of John J. and Emma Klenke Laudick. A Dodge City resident since 1958, moving from Spearville, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Sacred Heart Cathedral and Daugh-ters of Isabella. She was past president of the Altar Society, Dodge City Senior Center and was supervising judge of the Ford County Election Board for several years, all at Dodge City.
On Nov. 7, 1939, she married Conrad J. Liebl at Spearville. He survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, John, Dodge City, Mark, Waikoloa, Hawaii, and Leon, Wichita; a daughter, Jane Ward, Monroe, N.H.; a brother, John Laudick, Topeka; a sister, Lorraine Heinz, Cheyenne Wells, Colo.; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Ann Woodworth; two brothers, Ray and Marvin Laudick; and a sister, Elfrieda Schulte.
Daughters of Isabella Rosary will be at 4 p.m. Friday and vigil service will be at 7 p.m. Friday, both at Burkhart Funeral Chapel, Dodge City. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Dodge City, with Father John R. Strasser presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Greencrest Memorial Gardens, Dodge City.
Memorials may be sent to the Sacred Heart School Endowment Fund, in care of the funeral chapel.

Karen 'Kay' Morrow
DODGE CITY - Karen "Kay" Morrow, 79, died Jan. 16, 2001, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
She was born Nov. 29, 1921, in Ford County, the daughter of Ralph A. and Beryl Martin Morrow. She was a graduate of Spearville High School and attended Dodge City Community College. She taught at rural Ford County schools and at a Spearville grade school. She worked at Palace Drug Store, Dodge City, as a clerk and later as a manager, and was a bookkeeper for Isaac Truck Lines, Dodge City.
Survivors include: a brother, Bill Morrow, Fort Dodge; and a sister, Betty Stitsworth, Torrance, Calif.
There will be no services.
Memorials may be sent to Fort Dodge Chapel, Fort Dodge, in care of Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City.

Betty Nell Ferguson
TULSA, Okla. - Betty Nell Ferguson, 80, died Jan. 13, 2001, at Tulsa.
She was born March 27, 1920, in Springbrook, Wis. She was a Hutchinson resident from 1947 to 1969.
She was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, serving as a registered nurse. She was awarded two Overseas Service Bars, a Victory Medal and an EAME Theater Ribbon.
She married Earl Ferguson. He survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Cremation was arranged through Adams Crest Cremation Center, Tulsa.

Dorothy O. Angle
ANTHONY - Dorothy O. Angle, 74, died Jan. 16, 2001, at Harper.
She was born June 17, 1926, at Rago, the daughter of Joseph and Florence Flowers Raida. She was a homemaker.
On Feb. 8, 1947, she married Lewis "Jack" Angle at Anthony. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Rodney, Anthony; a daughter, Judy Dent, Anthony; two brothers, Joe Raida, Harper, and Marlan Raida, Anthony; two sisters, Sylvia Miller, Harper, and Ruby Mayberry, Easton; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Forest Park Cemetery, Anthony.
Memorials may be sent to a charity of the donor's choice, in care of Elliott Mortuary, Anthony.

Darlene B. Schnepf
SALINA - Darlene B. Schnepf, 67, died Jan. 16, 2001, at her home in Salina.
She was the mother of Debra D. Brown, Hutchinson.
Vigil service will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, Salina. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.

Aaron Ray Estabrook
DODGE CITY - Aaron Ray Estabrook, 55, died Jan. 16, 2001, at Western Plains Regional Hospital, Dodge City.
He was born Nov. 21, 1945, at St. Joseph, Mo., the son of Edwin Elbert and Claudia Marie Dix Estabrook. He was a 1989 graduate of Western Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in fire science. He had been a fireman at Ford County fire department from 1974 to 1987. He was a 1993 graduate of Southwestern College, Winfield, with a bachelor's degree in social work. He was employed by United Methodist Youthville, Dodge City.
He attended Wilroads Gardens Christian Church and the United Methodist Church. He was a member of the Lions Club and board member of Kiwanis International, all at Dodge City, Kansas Fire Fighters Association, past president of fire fighters Ford County union, past member of Kansas State Board of EMS, was a CPR trainer, and a Swine leader for the Wilroads Gardens 4-H Club.
He married Sandra Estabrook. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Aaron Ray Jr., of the home; two daughters, Jennifer Estabrook, Dodge City, and Petra Williams, Emporia; a brother, Jerry, Pryor, Okla.; a sister, Judy McCullum, Pryor, Okla.; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Dean; and an infant sister, Rachael Ann.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Wilroads Gardens Christian Church, Dodge City, with the Rev. Jeff Hiers presiding. Friends may call from noon to 8 p.m. today at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City. Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Iola Township Cemetery, Iola.
Memorials may be sent to United Methodist Youthville or the Kansas State Firefighters Association, both in care of the funeral home.

Elmer W. James
PLAINS - Elmer W. James, 84, died Jan. 16, 2001, at Western Plains Regional Hospital, Dodge City.
He was born May 31, 1916, in Seward County, the son of George W. and Minnie Credens James. He attended school in Seward County. He was a custom harvester for many years, retiring in 1968, and moved to Plains in 1990.
Survivors include: a nephew, George Cravens, Dodge City; and two nieces, Mary Sherretts, Liberal, and Minnie Stewart, Springdale, Ark.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters and a half-sister.
No services are planned. Cremation has taken place.
Miller Mortuary, Liberal, is in charge of arrangements.

Beulah I. Thummel
SALINA - Beulah I. Thummel, 74, former Osborne resident, died Jan. 16, 2001, at Salina Regional Health Center.
She was the mother of Sheryl Corbett, Lyons.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Queen of the Universe Catholic Church, Salina, with a 2 p.m. graveside service to follow in Osborne Cemetery.
Geisendorf-Rush Smith Funeral Home, Salina, is in charge of arrangements.

C. Rosalie Heacock
EVERETT, Wash. - C. Rosalie Heacock, died Jan. 11, 2001, at her home in Everett.
A former Kinsley resident, she moved to Washington in 1967. She worked for John Fluke Mfg., retiring in 1998.
Survivors include: a son; a daughter, four brothers, including Verle Lorenzen, Kinsley; and three grandchildren.
A memorial service was Wednesday at Faith United Methodist Church in Everett.

Anna Marie Shuff
Anna Marie Shuff, 71, died Feb. 1, 2001, at Pheasant Acres Personal Care, Hutchinson.
She was born Dec. 2, 1929, at Ray-mond, the daughter of James C. and Maude Montgom-ery Keeler. A longtime resident of Nickerson, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to United Methodist Church, Nickerson, where she was a Sunday school teacher and an active member of United Methodist Women.
On March 15, 1953, she married Waldo R. Shuff at Nickerson. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Emery, Nickerson; a stepson, Charles E. Shuff, Hutch-inson; a daughter, Edith Dobrinski, Levittown, Pa.; a brother, Cecil Keeler, Hutch-inson; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two stepsons, John R. and Kenneth D. Shuff; and three brothers, Howard, Harold and James Keeler; and a sister, Irene Slanker.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, Nickerson, with the Rev. Linda Louder-back presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Wildmead Cemetery, Nickerson.
Memorial contributions may be made to Breast Cancer Research or Reno County Hospice, both in care of the funeral home.

Robert H. Fuller
GARDEN CITY - Robert H. Fuller, 80, died Feb. 2, 2001, at Via Christi Regional Medical Center, St. Francis Campus, Wichita.
He was born April 7, 1920, at Mitchell, the son of George and Lydia Rife Fuller. He attended Mitchell School, Rice County, was a graduate of Little River High School, and graduated with a major in botany and a minor in secondary education from Fort Hays State University. A Garden City resident since 1961, he worked in the soil conservation service offices at Ellsworth, Russell and Hugoton. He was the district soil conservationist at Garden City, and in 1980, he opened Fuller Real Estate Office.
He belonged to First Baptist Church, where he was head usher and deacon, and was a member of the Garden City Rotary Club, all at Garden City. He was program chairman of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees, a member of Fort Hays State University En-dowment Association, 32nd Degree member of Little River Masonic Lodge, past president of the Kansas American Baptist Men's Association, and was on several committees of Camp Christy.
On June 9, 1946, he married Marjorie Spreier at Rozel. She survives.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Marsha Siefkas, Eads, Colo., and Rhonda Goodloe, Garden City; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church, Garden City, with Pastor Dick Odum presiding. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Garnand Funeral Home, Garden City. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday in Larned Cemetery.
Memorials may be sent to Camp Christy, in care of the funeral home.

Carl E. Belcher
MANHATTAN - Carl E. Belcher, 85, died Jan. 31, 2001, at St. Francis Hospital, Topeka.
He was the father of Louetta Finn, Hutchinson.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Yorgensen-Meloan-Londeen Funeral Home, Manhattan. Burial will follow in Valley View Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

William "Bill" Bateman
William "Bill" Bateman, 81, died Feb. 2, 2001, at his home in Hutchinson.
Funeral arrangements are pending and will be announced by Heritage Funeral Home, Hutchinson.

Melosena D. 'Sena' Dreiling
VICTORIA - Melosena D. "Sena" Dreiling, 94, died Feb. 2, 2001, at St. John's Rest Home, Victoria.
She was born Aug. 29, 1906, at Victoria, the daughter of Peter and Barbara Windholz Sander. A Victoria resident, having lived at Wheatridge and Arvada, Colo., for 41 years, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to St. Fidelis Catholic Church and the Daughters of Isabella, both at Victoria.
On May 13, 1924, she married Alphonse D. Dreiling at Victoria. He died Jan. 10, 1956.
Survivors include: two sons, Bob, Russell, and Allen, Victoria; two daughters, Heraldine Kreutzer, Arvada, Colo., and Agnes Karlin, Wheatridge, Colo.; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Peter, John and Alex Sander; four sisters, Elizabeth Braun, Magdalena Braun-Haas, Catherine Weigel and Margaret Clark; and a grandson.
Vigil service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by a Daughters of Isabella rosary at 8 p.m., at Cline's Mortuary, Victoria. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Fidelis Catholic Church, Victoria, with Father Frank X. Grinko presiding. Friends may call from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 8:30 to 9:45 a.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in St. Fidelis Cemetery, Victoria.
Memorials may be sent to the Cathedral of the Plains Charitable Fund Inc., or to Masses.

Mary Aline Jantz
NEWTON - Mary Aline Jantz, 88, died Feb. 1, 2001, at Newton Medical Center.
She was born March 27, 1912, at Canton, the daughter of Leonhart and Lottie McNees Sommerfeld. She graduated from Canton High School, Hesston College and Emporia State University, and earned her master's degree from the University of Northern Colorado at Greeley. She was a retired teacher.
She belonged to First Baptist Church at Canton, Kansas State Teachers Association, McPherson County Retired Teachers Association, Delta Kappa Gamma Society and BPW at McPherson, and was founder of the Alpha Lambda Chapter, McPherson.
On April 16, 1960, she married Arnold Jantz at Canton. He died Feb. 4, 1979.
Survivors include: a sister, Rachel Sommerfeld, McPher-son; a stepson, Arlo Jantz, Prescott, Ariz.; two stepdaughters, Opal Hanson, McPherson, and Olive Ubel, Topeka; seven step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday in Canton Township Cemetery, with the Rev. Charles Kaufman presiding. Memorial service will follow at 10 a.m. at Olson's Mortuary, Canton, with the Rev. Kaufman presiding. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary.
Memorials may be sent to Presbyterian Manor, Newton, in care of the mortuary.
