Dallis W. Hunsinger
HUTCHINSON - Dallis W. Hunsinger, 60, died Jan. 11, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born June 4, 1939, in rural Windom, the son of George and Alta Marie Smith Hunsinger. He graduated Little River High School. A resident of Hutchinson, moving from Little River in March 1999, he was a senior pipeline mechanic for Kinder-Morgan.
He belonged to United Methodist Church and United Methodist Men, both of Little River, and the Odd Fellows, Lyons.
On Dec. 15, 1962, he married
Elma Marie Smith at Lyons. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Brent, Wichita; two daughters, Sarah Jordan, Wichita, and Carrie Prosser, Andale; two brothers, Laurel, Lawrence, and Karyl, Hutchinson; six sisters, Meredith Voth, Medicine Lodge, Georgene Glenn and Sharon Glenn, both of Topeka, Joann Peckham, Shelburne, Vt., Kay Piper, Rochester, Minn., and Linda Fesler, Hutchinson; and four grandchildren.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church, Little River, with the Rev. Marc McDonald presiding. Visitation will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons, with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Burial will be in Bean Memorial cemetery, Little River.

Myrtle Francis Flynn Patterson
SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Myrtle Francis Flynn Patterson, 73, died Feb. 5, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born April 21, 1926, at Dodge City, the daughter of John Sterling and Bertha Pearl Carlile Flynn. A Hutchinson resident since 1950, moving from Kinsley, she was a retired manager of Hutchinson Waste Paper, was a former employee of the Vinegar Works, and had worked as a waitress and a secretary for Standard Oil Co.
She belonged to Women of the Moose Lodge No. 982, Hutchinson.
On April 25, 1952, she married
Bedford Lee Patterson at Hutchinson. He died Nov. 9, 1983.
Survivors include: two sons, Michael L., Hutchinson, and William L., Hurst, Texas; two daughters, Patricia L. O'Neal, Hutchinson, and Teresa L. Patterson-Romey, Wichita; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Sterling and Frank Flynn; a sister, Maxine Pearl Putter; and a half-sister, Alberta Gardenhier.
Graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with Elder Mike D. O'Neal presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Hutchinson.

Alice Francesca Clore Martin
LANGDON - Alice Francesca Clore Martin, 101, died Jan. 16, 2000, at Silver Oaks Health Care Center, Hutchinson.
She was born Oct. 28, 1898, at Kinsley, the daughter of Samuel C. and Minnie Barbara Gunkel Clore. A Langdon resident since 1942, moving from Kinsley, she was a farmer in Langdon and Kinsley.
She belonged to First Christian Church, Kinsley.
On June 6, 1917, she married
Otto Page Martin. He died March 31, 1938.
Survivors include: three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Bernice Applegate; and a sister, Eva Barnum.
Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday in Hillside cemetery, Kinsley. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Larrison Funeral Home, Turon.

Dave Franz
Dave Franz, 79, of Hutchinson, died Jan. 26, 2000, at Good Samaritan Center, Hutchinson.
He was born March 29, 1920, in rural Inman, the son of Gerhard and Sarah Bartel Franz. A longtime McPherson County and Hutchinson resident, he was a farmer and retired carpenter with Franz Construction.
He belonged to Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church, where he was an usher.
Survivors include: a brother, Menno, Wichita; three nephews and six nieces.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Herbert.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with Pastor Robert B. Albin presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at the mortuary. Burial will be in Buhler Municipal cemetery.

Opal E. Braun
Opal E. Braun, 81, of Hutchinson, died Jan. 27, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born May 17, 1918, in Phillips County, the daughter of Everett and Emma Hoft Simmons. A longtime Nickerson area resident, she was a nurse's aide for 30 years, retiring in 1974.
In August 1936, she married
Raphael Thadieus Benedict in Franklin County, Nebraska. He died July 23, 1953. In August 1957, she married
Peter A. Braun in Franklin County. He died July 5, 1989.
Survivors include; two daughters, Joyce Hoschouer, Nickerson, and Claudene Johnson, Kelleyville, Okla.; a brother, Bobby Simmons, Nickerson; a sister, Verlyn Philbrick, Nickerson; five grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Tina Wedel
Tina Wedel, 88, of Hutchinson, died Jan. 19, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born July 25, 1911, in Marion County, the daughter of Benjamin B. and Katherina Krause Wedel. She graduated from Goessel High School in 1930 and from Emporia State Teachers College in 1950. A Hutchinson resident since 1946, she taught at rural Goessel and Whitewater schools, the U.S. Dependent School in Germany, and at Lincoln, Northside, Morgan and Graber Elementary Schools in Hutchinson, retiring in 1976.
She belonged to First Mennonite Church, Hutchinson, and the Delta Kappa Gamma Society International.
Survivors include: a sister, Arpa Wedel, South Hutchinson; and several nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by a brother and eight sisters.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at First Mennonite Church, Hutchinson, with Pastors Debbie Schmidt and LaVerle Schrag presiding. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson.

Norman L. Maxwell
Norman L. Maxwell, 60, of Hutchinson, died Jan. 19, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born April 30, 1939, at Wichita, the son of Ernest A. and Rowena P. Amerman Maxwell. He graduated from Partridge High School in 1957. A Hutchinson resident since 1986, moving from Partridge, he was a farmer.
He belonged to Partridge Community Church, the Loyal Order of Moose No. 982 and the Hutchinson National Rifle Association.
On Oct. 2, 1960, he married
Sandra Van Derbur at Kingman.
Survivors include: a son, Scott, Grand Junction, Colo.; a daughter, Charlotte Lattimer, Lyons; his mother, Rowena P. O'Hara, South Hutchinson; and four grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father; and stepfather, Carl O'Hara.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Elliott Mortuary Chapel, Hutchinson, with Pastor Pamela J. Tinnin presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, both at the mortuary. Burial will be in Partridge cemetery.
