Lillian 'Billie' Brisbois
SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Lillian "Billie" Brisbois, 87, died June 20, 2000, at Hutchinson Hospital, Hutchinson.
She was born Dec. 19, 1912, at McPherson, the daughter of Wellington E. and Edith A. Hockenbarger Clemson. A South Hutchinson resident since 1965, she was a retired practical nurse, formerly employed at the Veterans Administration Hospital, Wichita.
She belonged to First Southern Baptist Church, Veterans of Foreign Wards Auxiliary Bob Campbell Post No. 1361, American Legion Auxiliary Lysle Rishel Post No. 68, and Women of the Moose Hutchinson Chapter 1371, all at Hutchinson.
She married
Henry Brisbois at Phoenix on Nov. 28, 1977. He survives.
Other survivors include several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Walter, and a sister, Aldafern Rickey.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with the Rev. Ray E. Kempel presiding. Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today, Thursday and Friday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Memorial Park, Hutchinson.
Eddie A. Wiens
SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Eddie A. Wiens, 80, died Nov. 15, 2004, at Mennonite Manor.
He was born April 12, 1924, in Groveland Township, McPherson County, the son of David K. and Elizabeth Willems Wiens. He worked at Carey Salt for 27 years. After retiring, he worked for 10 years at Wal-Mart.
Survivors include: a son, David Wiens, Wellington; two daughters, Kathy Wiens, Wichita, and Vicky Yinger, Wellington; two sisters, Katherine Wiens, Wichita, and Helen Weaver, Harrisonberg, Va.; companion, Paulette Watson, South Hutchinson; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Private graveside services have been held. Heritage Funeral Home, Hutchinson, is in charge of the arrangements.
Michael V. Moran
SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Michael V. Moran, 56, died Sept. 28, 2004, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Feb. 14, 1948, at Hutchinson, the son of William and Corinne Jander Moran. He was a graduate of Hutchinson High School. He was a switchman for the Santa Fe Railroad.
He belonged to St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson. He served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
On Dec. 28, 1974, he married
Sharon Gerber at Hutchinson. She survives.
Other survivors include: three sons, Nicholas and wife Megan, Bamberg, Germany, Jacob, Overland Park, and Joseph, Hutchinson; a daughter, Molly, Dodge City; three brothers, William and wife Vicky, Houston, Texas, Timothy and wife Pat, Overland Park, and Darren, Hutchinson; four sisters, Corinne Barrett and husband Ben, Aurora, Colo., Katherine Ferguson and husband Don, Mary Lee Moran and Jean Drach and husband Larry, all of Hutchinson; two grandchildren; and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
Rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home and Crematory, Hutchinson. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church, Hutchinson, with Father Ned Blick presiding. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park cemetery, Hutchinson.

Verlon E. Eurton
SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Verlon E. Eurton, 78, died Nov. 6, 2004, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Dec. 3, 1925, at Scranton, Iowa, the son of Delbert G. and Pearl Mae Pittman Eurton. He graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1943 and attended Wichita State University. A longtime Hutchinson resident, he was co-owner of Peter Rabbit Freight from 1953 to 1964 and owner of McCarty Memorials from 1969 to 1988.
He belonged to Forest Park Presbyterian Church. He was a former member of Hutch-Reno Masonic Lodge No. 124 AF and AM and was a 32nd degree mason, also York Rite and Midian Shrine, Wichita. He was a charter member of Breakfast Optimist Club, Hutchinson Rotary and Wheat Hearts Camping Club, all at Hutchinson.
He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II and in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict.
On Dec. 17, 1944, he married
Charlene L. Schroll at Hutchinson. She survives, of the home.
Survivors include: a son, Michael and wife Judy, Clermont, Fla.; two grandchildren, Eric Eurton and wife Jenny, Tampa, Fla., and Bryan Eurton, stationed at Baghdad, Iraq; and three great-grandchildren, Jewelya, Jay and Josie Eurton.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Kenneth; and two sisters, Verna Cooke and Joyce Boster.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Forest Park Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Chris Davis presiding. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial will be in Fairlawn Burial Park, Hutchinson, with military graveside rites conducted by Fort Riley Honor Guard and U.S. Naval Reserve.
Memorials may be sent to the church, American Diabetes Association or National Kidney Foundation, all in care of the funeral home.
Dorothy L. Withrow
SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Dorothy Lucille Withrow, 88, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Oct. 29, 2004, at Buhler Sunshine Home.
She was born Sept. 24, 1916, at Hutchinson, the daughter of Charles Melvin and Lura Augusta Burrow Mitchell. She graduated from Winfield High School with the Class of 1934 and attended Adela Hale Business School. She was a resident of South Hutchinson for 54 years, recently moving to Buhler. She had also lived in Minnesota, California and Lyons, Winfield and Hutchinson. She worked for Weeks Drugs, Hutchinson, before running a small neighborhood Grocery Store at B. and Monroe in the early 1950s. She also managed Miller-Jones and Caines Shoe Stores and worked for Cessna for 10 years until 1978.
She belonged to South Hutchinson Christian Church and International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
On March 9, 1935, she married
Raymond A. Withrow at Deer River, Minn. He died March 28, 1976.
Survivors include: a son, Richard Withrow, Harrison, Ark.; a daughter, Beverly Miller, Hutchinson; a brother, Robert E. Mitchell, Pasco, Wash.; three grandsons, Wade and Mark Withrow, both of Omaha, Ark., and Brett Schultz, Burlingame; two granddaughters, Cathy Durant, Everton, Ark., and Annell Taylor, Wichita; five step-grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Edwin Mitchell; a sister, Florence Irene Lueckemeyer; an infant son, Raymond A. Withrow Jr.; stepmother, Venus Mitchell; and a stepbrother, Bernold Mitchell.
Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at South Hutchinson Christian Church. Cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the register book from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. A private family inurnment will take place at a later date in Penwell-Gabel's Memorial Park cemetery.

Jacqueline K. Scott
SOUTH HUTCHINSON - Jacqueline Kaye "Jacki" Scott, 30, died Dec. 1, 2004, at Hutchinson Hospital.
She was born Nov. 9, 1974, at Hutchinson, the daughter of Mark E. and Patricia K. Wedel Rupp. She was a 1993 graduate of Moundridge High School and a 1998 graduate of Bethel College, Newton. A South Hutchinson resident for seven months, formerly of Moundridge, she was a social worker for the Kansas Children's Service League, Hutchinson.
She belonged to Eden Mennonite Church, rural Moundridge.
On Nov. 26, 1994, she married
Lee W. Scott at Piqua, Ohio. He survives.
Other survivors include: a son, Ian Zachary, of the home; a daughter, Emily Kaylynn Scott, of the home; her parents, Moundridge, and mother, Brenda Kowitz, Hutchinson; a brother, Bill Rupp, Wichita; and grandparents, Ben and Ruth Wedel, Moundridge, and Linda Rupp, North Newton.
She was preceded in death by a grandfather, Weldon J. Rupp.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Eden Mennonite Church, four miles west and two miles north of Moundridge, with Pastors Lee Lever and Jim Ostlund presiding. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Saturday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Moundridge Funeral Home, Moundridge. Burial will be in Eden Church cemetery, rural Moundridge.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Scott Children's Education Fund, in care of the funeral home.
