Helen E. Weaver
Helen Evangeline Weaver, 87, died Nov. 28, 2004, at Select Specialty Hospital, Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
She was born July 29, 1917, at Hutchinson, the daughter of Kelvie and Val White Brice-Nash. She was a 1936 graduate of Hutchinson High School. A longtime Hutchinson resident, formerly of Arlington and Syracuse, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Arlington United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women and was a former member of Foursquare Gospel Church, Retired Senior Volunteer Program and Arlington Home Extension Unit. She had served as president of resident council at Hamilton County Extended Care Facility, Syracuse.
On Nov. 9, 1955, she married
James I. Weaver at Newkirk, Okla. He died May 10, 1996.
Survivors include: three sons, Merle Harris, Arlington, Ron Croslin, Kansas City, Mo., and Mike Weaver, Abbyville; a daughter, Pam Fitzgerrel, Syracuse; 24 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a son, Allen Harris; and two brothers, Kelvie Jr. and Melvin Brice-Nash.
Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in Arlington cemetery, Arlington, with Pastors William Fitzgerrel and Juanita Catlin presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson.

Lloyd E. Chancellor
Lloyd E. Chancellor, 83, died Dec. 20, 2004, at Hutchinson Hospital.
He was born Jan. 30, 1921, at Turon, the son of William E. and Bertha Elizabeth Elliott Chancellor. A former resident of Preston for 48 years, moving to Hutchinson in 1993, he worked at Lockheed Aircraft Corp., Los Angeles, for several years. He was retired from Preston Co-op.
He belonged to Christ Lutheran Church.
On Jan. 15, 1940, he married
Dorothy E. Krob. She survives.
Other survivors include: a son, James E., Hutchinson; a daughter, Sheryl D. Schroeder, Hutchinson; four sisters, Margaret Heiser, North Ridge, Calif., Emabel Berryman, Cozad, Neb., Marilyn Bales and Julia Douglass, both of Independence; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two infant daughters, Carolyn and Sharon; and a granddaughter, Laura Hoffman.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Christ Lutheran Church, with Pastor Michael Brockman presiding. Burial will be in Lerado cemetery, Lerado. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson, with family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m.
Memorials may be sent to Christ Lutheran Church or Pleasant View Home, Alzheimer's Unit, Inman, both in care of Elliott Mortuary.
George Johnson Jr.
George Johnson Jr., 73, died Dec. 17, 2004, at Hutchinson Hospital, Hutchinson.
He was born Nov. 28, 1931, in St. Louis County, Mo., the son of George and Nellie Burgett Johnson. He was a resident of Hutchinson and previously lived in the Kansas City area.
He was preceded in death by his wife.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at E.R. Morris Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Leavenworth National cemetery, Leavenworth. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Chapel, 4316 Troost Ave., Kansas City, Mo.
Frieda E. Dyck
BUHLER - Frieda E. Dyck, 88, died Jan. 15, 2005, at Burnsides Nursing Home, Marshall, Ill.
She was born March 29, 1916, at Harvey County, the daughter of Henrich and Helena Penner Franz. A former resident of Buhler, she worked at Buhler Sunshine Home and was a homemaker.
She belonged to Buhler Mennonite Church, Buhler and "Singing Sams, " Marshall, Ill.
She married
John R. Dyck in 1937. He preceded her in death in 1984.
Survivors include: a son Wayne and his wife Sharon, West Union, Ill.; two daughters, Nadine Stokes and her husband Ulyses and Wanda Quallo, all of Denver; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers and five sisters.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Buhler Mennonite Church, with Pastor Bob Dalke presiding. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Buhler cemetery.

Sarah E. Lockhart
MANHATTAN - Sarah Elizabeth Lillibridge Lockhart, 85, died Jan. 27, 2005, at her Meadowlark Hills apartment in Manhattan.
She was born Aug. 13, 1919, at Hutchinson, the daughter of Curtis Charles and Henrietta Stead Lillibridge. She graduated from Hutchinson High School in 1937, attended Hutchinson Junior College and graduated from Kansas State University in 1942. She worked as home economist for a utility company until her first marriage in 1942. In 1971, she moved to Manhattan, working as housemother.
In 1972, she married
Charles H. Lockhart at Hutchinson. He died in 2000.
She was the mother of Anita Louise DeGeer, Medicine Lodge.
There will be a private family service.

Polly E. Oswalt
TURON - Polly E. Oswalt, 94, died Jan. 12, 2005, at Southwind Hospice, Pratt.
She was born Sept. 13, 1910, at Stafford, the daughter of Chancey and Esta Gilmore Brown. A resident of the Turon and Penalosa communities most of her life, she was a homemaker.
She belonged to Penalosa Church of Christ.
On Aug. 3, 1929, she married
Wm. R. "Bill" Oswalt at Hutchinson. He died April 5, 1995.
Survivors include: two daughters, Wava McGovney, Penalosa, and Patsy Schmidt, Turon; four grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and two step great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Brown; a sister, Viola Hollenbeck; and a grandson.
Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Livingston Funeral Home, Kingman, with David Harlow presiding. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Lerado cemetery, Reno County.
