Lyle V. Wynn, 64, of Valley Center, retired founder and owner of American Fun Food Co. Inc., died April 10, 2004. Service is at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Downing & Lahey Mortuary East.
He was born Oct. 28, 1939, in Centralia, Ill., the son of Floyd Wynn and Bertha Hupman. He married
Kathleen L. “Kathy” Wall on Nov. 15, 1959, at Wellington Place Baptist Church, Wichita. She survives.
Other survivors include his daughters and sons-in-law, Kelly and Kevin Giles of Derby, Karen and Mike Flewelling of Wichita; and six grandchildren, Amy McNeal, Alex McNeal, Brittney Flewelling, Justin Flewelling, Paige Giles, Logan Giles.

Mary Knight
Mary J. Knight, 48, of Wichita, sister of Dale Boatright of Park City, died April 9, 2004. She was a homemaker. Service was April 12 at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, Wichita.
Other survivors include her husband, Bob; son, Bobby Gile of the home; daughter, Rebecca Gile of Wichita; stepdaughters, Teala Ramsey, Kimberly Knight, Roberta Knight, all of Wichita; brothers, Lura Boatright of Wichita, Bert Boatright of Derby; sisters, Jeanne Herron of Wichita, Sue Phillippe of Wichita, Vickie Baker of Maryville, Tenn, Ruth Ann Ekiss of Decatur, Ill.; two grandchildren; and nine step-grandchildren.

Rosalie Thiessen
Rosalie Ann Meschberger Thiessen, 72, of Whitewater, nursing instructor, died April 11, 2004. Service is at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at Emmaus Mennonite Church, Whitewater. Graveside service is at 1:30 p.m. at the church cemetery.
She was born Aug. 6, 1931, in Stafford, the daughter of Daniel and Lena Meschbereger. She married
Edgar Thiessen on Sept. 12, 1953, in Stafford. He survives.
Other survivors include her sons, Ike Thiessen of Herington, Carvin Thiessen of Hesston, Stephen and Nathan Thiessen, both of Whitewater; daughter, Kyleen DeJon of Nairobi, Kenya, Regina Johnson of Cincinnati, Ohio, Kendra Schultz of Prague, Okla.; brothers, Wayne and Marioin Meschberger, both of Stafford; sisters, Eunice Moody of Kingman, Florence Benton of Jackson, Miss.; 26 grandchildren including Rachael Nutter and Brendon Thiessen of Concordia; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Del Delgado
Del C. Delgado, 85, of Dodge City, father of Dennis Delgado of Park City, died April 18, 2004. Service is at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City.
Other survivors include his daughter, Nancy Foresman of Johnson; sisters, Martina Cruz of Jacksonville, Ark., Esther Herman of Protection; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Elmer Hainline
Elmer Lloyd Hainline, 78, of Park City, retired truck driver and World War II Navy veteran, died April 16, 2004. Service was April 21 at White Chapel cemetery, Wichita.
He was born March 7, 1926, in Bloom, the son of Charles W. Hainline and Nina Dodson. He married
Phyllis Riggs on Jan. 1, 1946, in El Dorado. She survives. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Adelbert W. Hainline.
Other survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Bill Satterfield of Newton; grandchildren, Brett Bowhay, Bradley Bowhay, Brandi Bowhay; and great-grandchildren, Bayley Bowhay, Allyssa Bowhay, Cody McKay.

Linda Mae Lewis Ricks, 51, of Wichita, mother of Roxanna Fox and sister of Mary Pearl Dixon, both of Bel Aire, died April 8, 2004. She was a homemaker. Service was April 17 at Chisholm Trail Church of Christ, Wichita.

Loy Gallop
Loy Noland Gallop, 85, of Wichita, grandfather of Jesse and Heather Glenn of Park City, died April 12, 2004. Graveside service was April 20 at Osborne Township cemetery, Mayfield.
He was a pilot in the U.S. Air Force and was a World War II prisoner of war who escaped after two days of captivity. He was a former Parsons resident. He also worked for Boeing (Stearman Aircraft) and owned and operated Independent Scale Service in Wichita for nearly 40 years. He married
Lena Mae Nyberg on May 17, 1942. She survives. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Adrainne Gallop; grandparents, the Jesse McCormicks and Will Gallops; and a brother and sister-in-law, Dwight and Opal.
Other survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Sheryl and Steven Glenn of Hutchinson; sisters, Mary Jane Katter of San Antonio, Betty Wells of Atlanta; sisters-in-law, Mary A. Kincade, Doris Nyberg of Wichita, Jeanne Nyberg of California; aunt, Margaret Grant of Iola; and many other relatives.

Michelle Wheeler
Michelle Ann Wheeler, 23, of Wichita, student, died April 14, 2004. Service was April 20 at Faith Bible Baptist Church, Valley Center.
She was born Oct. 22, 1980, in Wichita.

Peggy J. McNeill Adam, 73, of Wichita, mother of Tammy Petersen of Valley Center, died April 15, 2004. She was a homemaker and retired cook. Service was April 19 at Clearwater cemetery.

R. "Morris" Scheffler
R. “Morris” Scheffler, 78, of Newton, father and father-in-law of Morris and Shari Scheffler of Valley Center, died April 18, 2004. He was a farmer and stockman. Service is at 10 a.m. today (Thursday) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Newton. Burial is at St. Mary’s Catholic cemetery.
He was born March 31, 1926, in Newton, the son of William A. Scheffler and Martha Sadowski. He was a 1945 graduate of Newton High School and a lifelong member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. He married
Virginia Walton on May 18, 1952, at St. Mary’s. She survives.

She was born in Kechi.
Survivors include her daughters and son-in-law, Debbie and Mark Ward, Gayla Shackelford, all of Andover; and grandchildren, Cory Shackelford of Indianapolis, Ind., Quentin Shackelford, Natalie Harrison, Joshua Ward, all of Andover.

Jeanamarie Schuster
Jeanamarie Schuster, 47, of Park City, retired State of Kansas SRS employee and homemaker, died April 21, 2004. Memorial service was April 24 at Broadway Mortuary, Wichita.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Parmele.
Survivors include her husband, Dave; brother and sister-in-law, Craig and Beverly DuBois of Wichita; father, Gene DuBois of Satanta; grandmother, Thelma DuBois of Great Bend; aunt and uncle, Carmetta and Lonnie Lollar of Derby; and many other aunts, uncles and cousins.

Barbara Taylor
Barbara Ann Comstock Taylor, 58, of Wichita, sister of Don of Park City, died May 10, 2004. She was a homemaker. Service was May 12 at Rolling Hills Church of God. Burial was at Resthaven cemetery.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill and Danny; her parents, Wilofrd and Ernestine; and great-grandson, Justin Allen Anderson Jr.

Donald Wiemeyer, 79, of Wichita, father and father-in-law of Vicky and Steve Boyer of rural Valley Center, died May 9, 2004. He was a retired farmer and tool inspector for Boeing and Cessna. Services are at 10:30 a.m. today (Thursday) at Hillside Funeral Home West and at 2:30 p.m. at Harper cemetery.
