OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Shirley
Jacqueline Delp, 72, of Oklahoma City,
left this world for a place reserved in
Heaven on Oct. 30. She was born Aug. 2,
1935, in Barnsdall, Okla. Words are
inadequate to describe her impact on the
lives of those she touched. She was
preceded in death by her first husband,
Marion Weese. She is survived by her
mother, Hazel Straw of Oklahoma City;
husband, Dean Delp of Oklahoma City;
five daughters, Terri Simmons and
husband Mike, Diane Erskin of Guthrie,
Okla., Deana Williamson of St. John,
Vickie Fisher and husband Randy of
Ellinwood, and Sheila Fisher and husband
Reggie of St. John; two sons, Douglas
Weese of McAlister, Okla., and Alan
Weese of Oklahoma City; 15
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a
sister, Ruby Harvey and husband Dave of
Ochelata, Okla.; and a brother, George
Straw of Dallas, Texas. Services will be
held at 10:30 a.m. at Crossings
Community Church, 14600 N. Portland,
Oklahoma City, on Saturday, Nov. 3. In
lieu of flowers, Shirley would have want

1926 - 2007
ELLINWOOD — Nina I. Alsup, 81, died
Oct. 27 at Ellinwood District Hospital.
Born Sept. 27, 1926, in Osawatomie, she
was the daughter of Peter Yocum and
Ada MacKenzie. A resident of Ellinwood
for the past 37 years, formerly of
Neodesha and Osawatomie, she was a
retired food service worker for
Woodhaven Care Center in Ellinwood.
She married John A. Alsup on Dec. 24,
1953, at Osawatomie. He died on Oct.
16, 2000.
Mrs. Alsup was a member of the United
Methodist Church and Veterans of
Foreign Wars Auxiliary, both in
Ellinwood.
Survivors include two sons, William M.
and wife Rashell Alsup of Ellinwood and
Jeff A. and Charlene Alsup of Great
Bend; two daughters, Susan G. and Jim
Anderson and Barbara J. Carter, all of
Wichita; a brother, Don Yocum of
Bakersfield, Calif.; six grandchildren and
nine great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m.
today at Lakin-Comanche District
Cemetery with the Rev. Vernon Mealzer
officiating. Friends may call from 9 a.m.
to noon today. Memorials are suggested
to United Methodist Women and the VFW
Auxiliary.

Glynis M. Boyd
1942 - 2007
SALINA — Glynis M. Boyd, 65, Salina,
died Tuesday, Oct. 30, at her residence.
She was a homemaker, and was the
former manager of the Diet Center in
Salina. Glynis M. Dawe was born in
Bridgeton, N.J., on April 4, 1942, the
daughter of the late Paul E. and Marjorie
Irene (Vought) Dawe. She married
Ronald “Butch” M. Boyd on April 3, 1965,
in Detroit, Mich., and he survives.
Survivors include two daughters, Karry L.
Deschner of Great Bend and Tracie L.
Schneider of Salina; one son, Ron P.
Boyd, of Kipp; one sister, Kathi M. Webb
of Cottage Grove, Ore.; two brothers,
Paul “Rocky” Dawe of Salina and Douglas
J. M. Dawe of Sebastopol, Calif.; she is
also survived by 10 grandchildren and
seven great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her parents and a
grandson, Justin Deschner.
At the family’s request there will be no
visitation. A celebration of her life with
be at a later date. In lieu of flowers,

Etta E. Ward Gilmore
1916 - 2007
GOTHENBURG, Neb. — Etta E. Ward
Gilmore, 91, died Nov. 1 at Gothenburg
Memorial Hospital Long Term Care in
Gothenburg, Neb. Born June 24, 1916,
near Macksville, she was the daughter of
Albert and Myrtle Evans Wilson. She
married C.J. “Jack” Ward at Macksville at
June 10, 1933. He died July 19, 1978.
She married Glen Gilmore at Larned on
April 4, 1986. He died June 29, 2001.
She was a resident of Larned from 1969
until 2002, moving to Gothenburg to be
with family. She was a retired food
service worker at Larned State Hospital.
Mrs. Gilmore was a member of the Fort
Larned Lions Club, Good Sams and the
Welcome Inn Seniors, all of Larned, and
was an avid bowler.
Survivors include two sons, Dwayne
Ward of Boise, Idaho, and Wesley Ward
of Louisville, Colo.; three daughters,
Marietta Miller and Carol Cheetsos, both
of Gothenburg, Neb., and Donna Sever
of Modesto, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; 11
step-grandchildren; 27 great-
grandchildren; and two great-great-
grandchildren. She was preceded in
death by two infant sons, Robert and
Ronald; one brother, James Wilson; and
seven sisters, Eula Dibble, Hazel White,
Ella Wilson, Velma Wilkerson, Ethel Kell,
Bertha White and Laura Love.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m.
Monday at Morell Funeral Home in
Larned. Burial will be at Farmington
Cemetery in Macksville. Friends may visit
from 1 to 8 p.m. on Sunday with the
family receiving friends from 9 a.m. to
service time on Monday at the funeral
home. Memorials may be sent to the
Welcome Inn Senior Center, in care of
the funeral home.

Hermilia Rios De Molina
1947 - 2007
Hermilia Rios De Molina, 60, of Great
Bend, died Oct. 31 at Central Kansas
Medical Center, Great Bend. She was
born June 27, 1947, at Ojinaga,
Chihuahua, Mexico, the daughter of
Ramon and Concepcion Olivas Rios. She
married Raul Molina in 1959 at Ojinaga,
Chihuahua, Mexico. He survives. She was
a homemaker and a resident of Great
Bend since 1992, coming from Ojinaga,
Chihuahua.
She was a member of Iglesia de la
Cosecha, Great Bend.
Survivors, in addition to her husband, of
Great Bend, include three sons, Roberto
Molina, Raul Molina and Felipe Molina, all
of Great Bend; five daughters, Manuela
Molina, Argelia Molina, Ededina Molina,
Luz Estala Molina and Miroslava Molina,
all of Great Bend; many brothers; two
sisters; 22 grandchildren and five great-
grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m.
Thursday, Nov. 8, at St. Jose Catholic
Church in Odessa, Texas. Visitation will
be from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m.
to 9 p.m. Monday at Bryant Funeral
Home, Great Bend.

Lois Wright
1939 - 2007
GLAZIER, Texas — Lois Wright, 67, died
Oct. 30 in Canadian, Texas. Born Dec.
21, 1939 in Taloga, Okla., to the late Mr.
Bert Gastineau and Mrs. Helen Gates
Gastineau, she was a 1958 graduate of
Mooreland High School. She married
Walter O. Wright on May 3, 1958, in
Glazier, Texas. He departed this life on
Feb. 19, 2001. Lois worked as an
administrative assistant in an oil
company. During the time Walter served
with the United States Army they lived in
Germany, Fort Bliss, Texas, Fort Hood,
Texas, New York, N.Y., and Alaska. They
returned to Glazier in 1978. Lois enjoyed
reading, crafts and family time. She
nurtured and loved all who knew her.
She is survived by three brothers, Beryle
Gastineau of Glazier, Texas, Gene
Gastineau of Liberty, Mo., and J.E.
Gastineau and wife Carol of Woodward,
Okla.; one sister, Anna Faye Hensley and
husband Leroy of Great Bend; two aunts,
Margaret Smith of Seiling, Okla., and
Louise Gates of Lawton, Okla.; two
brothers-in-law, Jack Wright and wife
Mary Ann of Canadian, Texas, and Larry
Wright and wife Marie of Deming, N.M.;
four sisters-in-law, Margaret Dowdy and
husband Glen of Amarillo, Texas, Joan
Stovall and husband Lewis of San
Marcos, Texas, Mary Hart of White Deer,
Texas, and Sandra Griffin of San Marcos,
Texas; numerous nieces, nephews and
great nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m.
today at Glazier Cemetery with Gary
Jahnel officiating. Burial will follow under
the direction of Hughs Funeral Home of
