Mark W. Cunningham (1952-2004)
Mark W. Cunningham, 52, died Thursday, Sept. 23, 2004, at his home in Ellsworth. Mr. Cunningham was born Jan. 27, 1952, at Wilson to Maynard W. and Norma Jean Bell Cunningham. He was a lifetime resident of Ellsworth County, where he was an automobile dealer and former owner of Cunningham Motors, Ellsworth. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 1127, Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and American Legion Post 174 of Ellsworth. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army with service in Vietnam. He married Malinda Wiles Dec. 8, 1992, in Las Vegas. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Kelvi of Manhattan and Callie of Ellsworth; a son, Mark Cunnningham II of Ellsworth; a sister, Jeanne Lee Cunningham of Lawrence; and two brothers, Kent of Kanopolis and Brent of Ellsworth. The memorial service was Saturday at Parsons Funeral Home, Dr. John Snook officiating. A private inurment was conducted. Memorials may be made to the Mark Cunningham Memorial Fund.

William P. ‘Bill’ Keck (1924-2004)
COLBY — William P. “Bill” Keck, 79, Colby, died Saturday, Sept. 25, 2004. Mr. Keck was born Nov. 23, 1924, in Thomas County. He was a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Eva L. Keck of Colby; two sons, Phil of Colby and Rick of Overland Park; a daughter, Rita Lewallen of Holyrood; a sister, Ferma Garrett of Colby; 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. The funeral was Tuesday at Kersenbrock Funeral Chapel, 745 S. Country Club Drive, Colby, Kan. 67701. Burial was in Beulah Cemetery, Colby. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, American Legion Post No. 363 or VFW Post 6882, in care of any Colby bank or the funeral home.

Margaret E. McWilliams (1921-2004)
SALINA — Margaret E. McWilliams, 83, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004, at the Good Samaritan Retirement Center, Ellsworth. Mrs. McWilliams was born Sept. 21, 1921, in Edna to Ralph and Ruth Rexwinkle Evans. She worked 18 years for the Rice County probate court and retired from the school lunch program in Salina, where she moved in 1973 after living in Lyons since 1949. She was a member of the Belmont Christian Church, Salina. She married Clarence H. Bigham May 11, 1940, in Edna. He died in 1971. Her second marriage was Aug. 2, 1975, in Salina to Richard McWilliams. He died in 2003. She also was preceded in death by a son, Phillip D. Bigham; two brothers, Russel Evans and Donald Evans; and two sisters, Violet Gossard and Maedene Mozingo. Survivors include a son, Rick Bigham of Ellsworth; a step daughter, Nancy Haskins of Prairie Village; four grandchildren; eight great-grandchidren; two step-grandchildren; and two step-greatgrandchildren. The funeral was Saturday at the Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons, Pastor John Cousins officiating. Burial was in Lyons Municipal Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.

Bob Lee Murrell (1924-2004)
FAIRMONT, Neb. — Bob Lee Murrell, 79, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2004, at his home in Fairmont. Mr. Murrell was born Oct. 27, 1924, in Fairmont to John A. and Julia A. McMahon Murrell. He was a member of the U.S. Army, winning many medals and citations for his service in Europe during World War II. Following discharge from the military, he worked as a bricklayer for 40 years. He also was a member of the American Legion and a volunteer firefighter. He married Joyce Ernst of Geneva, Neb. Sept. 16, 1946. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Michael and wife, Judy, Robert and wife, Jina, of Ellsworth, Kan.; three daughters, Barbara Scheil and husband, Dave, Sharon Slezak and husband, Tom, and Julie Dillman and husband Bob; a son-in-law, Larry Ahrens; a twin sister, Betty Williams; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Vern and Jack, and a daughter, Patsy Jo. The funeral was Sept. 21 at the Farmer & Son Funeral Home in Geneva. Burial was in the Fairmont Public Cemetery. Memorials are directed to the Murrell family.

George P. Shaw (1924-2004)
KANOPOLIS — George P. Shaw, 80, died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2004. Mr. Shaw was born July 25, 1924, in Ellsworth County. He was a retired postmaster. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Barb Salyers, in 1978, and a son, Kevin, in 2004. Survivors include his wife, Joan, of Ellsworth; a son, Warren, of Ellsworth; three daughters, Caroline Nowlin of Kanopolis, Nancy Cumberland of Bennington and Lorna Atkins of Iola; 17 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. The funeral was Friday at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth. Private inurnment will be at a later date in Kanopolis Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Kanopolis Library or KSU Center for Basic Cancer Research.

Allen L. Ginther (1960-2004)
RUSSELL — Allen L. Ginther, 43, Russell, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004. Mr. Ginther was born Oct. 5, 1960, in Russell. He was a farmhand at Dorrance. Survivors include his mother, Helen of Russell; a sister, Elnora Boatright of Dorrance; and three brothers, Don of Luray and Milton and Glenn, both of Russell. The funeral was Sept. 16 at the St. John Lutheran Church, Russell. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church organ fund, in care of Pohlman-Heise Mortuary, 610 N. L. Bernadine Pasek (1922-2004)
DORRANCE — L. Bernadine Pasek, 82, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2004 at the Ellsworth County Medical Center. Mrs. Pasek was born May 20, 1922, at Dorrance to Carl and Elizabeth Deges Bode. She was a lifetime resident of Dorrance, where she was a homemaker and member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. She married Ernest Pasek Aug. 19, 1941, at Dorrance. He died in 1988. Survivors include five sons, Ernest E., Larry and Mitchell, all of Dorrance, Steven of Wichita and Kenneth of Canton; six daughters, Anita Bassler of Dorrance, Joan Weinhold of Wilson, Sandy Karst and Sherry Sloan, both of Dorrance, Teresa Niehoff of Granburg, Texas, and Connie Urban of Lucas, Texas; 32 grandchildren; and 38 great-grandchildren. The funeral was Tuesday at the St. Joseph’s Church, Father David Metz officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery Fund in care of Foster Mortuary, 610 24th Street, Wilson 67490.

Charles O. Wolfe (1919-2004)
MINNEAPOLIS — Charles O. Wolfe, 85, Minneapolis, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004. Mr. Wolfe was born Feb. 10, 1919, at Minneapolis. He was a farmer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha, in 1990; and an infant son, Larry Earl. Survivors include a son, Christopher of Minneapolis; a brother, Joe of Alamogordo, N.M.; three sisters, Oveda Zvolanek of Wilson, Esther Rogers of Atoka, Okla., and Doris Thompson of Newark, Texas; and two grandchildren. A graveside service was Sept. 15 in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lamar. Memorials may be made to the Ada Community building. Shields Funeral Home, Minneapolis, was in charge of arrangements.

Violet Deming (1923-2004)
Violet Deming, 81, Ellsworth, died Friday, Sept. 10, 2004, at the Ellsworth County Medical Center. Mrs. Deming was born May 24, 1923, in Ellsworth County to Fred and Lena Hoffman Kempke. She was a homemaker and a retired clerk for O’Donnell Hardware and Robson’s Card and Gift Shop. She was a member of Willing Workers and the First Presbyterian Church. She most recently lived at the Wilson Nursing Center. She married Earl “Bud” Deming Jr. June 22, 1940, at Ellsworth. He died in 1988. Survivors include two sons, Earl III of Oak Grove, Ky., and Verl of Ellsworth; two sisters, Beulah Woodmansee of Ellsworth and Donna Mehl of Lorraine; a brother, George Kempke of Ellsworth; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The funeral was Tuesday at Parsons Funeral Home, Father Daniel Scheetz officiating. Burial was in Ellsworth Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Ellsworth County Health Care Foundation.

Kenneth L. Smith (1925-2004)
MARYSVILLE — Kenneth L. Smith, 79, died Sunday, Sept. 12, 2004, at Community Memorial Healthcare. Mr. Smith was born May 27, 1925, at Harmony, Minn., to Raymond and Naomi Roland Smith. He grew up and attended schools at Hanover. In 1943, he joined the U.S. Army and served until 1952, when he went to work for Clowe Trucking. In 1956 he re-enlisted in the U.S. Army. He retired from active duty in 1972. During his military career he was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. After retiring from the military he worked for the Marysville school district and was a school bus driver for nearly 20 years. On May 22, 1955, he married Mary Harrison at the First Baptist Church, Marysville. She survives. Other survivors include a son, Joel, and wife, Georgia, of Geneseo; a brother, Jerry Pendergast of Blue Rapids; and a sister, Shirley Horner of Wilmington, N.C. He was preceded in death by his parents; and four sisters, Dorothy Lintz, Opal Gellinger, Bonnie Schilling, and Ramona Flower. Services are 11 a.m. today (Thursday) at First Baptist Church, Marysville, the Rev. David Hill officiating. Burial is in Marysville City Cemetery with members of the 705th Military Police Battalion, Fort Leavenworth, serving as pallbearers. Dell Armbrust (1919-2004)
JANE, Mo. — Dell Lewis Armbrust, 85, died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004, at the St. John’s Regional Medical Center, Joplin, Mo. Mr. Armbrust was born July 13, 1919, in Lincoln County, Kan., to Andy Klotz and Ella Dolezal Armbrust. He moved to the Jane community of McDonald County, Mo., more than 33 years ago from Ellsworth County, Kan. He was a farmer and did maintenance for a golf car rental company. He was a member of the Methodist Church of Carneiro, Kan., and the Ellsworth American Legion Post. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Richard Eugene Armbrust; and a sister, Pearl Florence Gant. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Ruth; a son, Delbert Armbrust of Brookville, Kan.; a daughter, Leanna Ruth Harris of Stella, Mo.; two brothers, Melvin Andy Armbrust of Ellsworth and Derald Dean Armbrust of Salina, Kan.; a sister, Gladys Russell of Huntington, Texas; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. A memorial service was conducted Sept. 1 at the Ozark Funeral Home, Anderson, Mo., Pastor Glen Ennis officiating. A graveside committal of cremains was Saturday in Prairie Mound Cemetery, Ellsworth County, the Rev. Gene Lanhofer officiating. Ozark Funeral Homes, Inc., of Anderson was in charge of arrangements.

Jerome P. Habiger (1914-2004)
BUSHTON — Jerome P. Habiger, 90, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2004, at the Ellinwood District Hospital. Mr. Habiger was born Aug. 12, 1914, at Bushton to Joseph and Katherine Doll Habiger. He was a lifetime resident of Bushton, where he farmed. He was a graduate of the Salt City Business College in Hutchinson and a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church, Bushton; Knights of Columbus 1187, Ellinwood; and Veterans of Foreign Wars, Lyons. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II with service in Europe. He married Anna Lee Thill March 30, 1948 at St. Rose in Great Bend. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Norman J. and Wayne M., both of Bushton; three daughters, Diane Ingels of Topeka, Jane Habiger of Bushton and Mary Beth Bonnewell of Andover; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, George and Victor; and three sisters, Viola Dohrman, Delores Miller and Lucille Miller. The funeral was 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Holy Name Catholic Church, the Revs. Steve Scheier and James J. Roth officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Bushton First Responders or the church fund. Kimple Funeral Home, Ellinwood, was in charge of arrangements.

Veta Buehler Pepitone
NEW ORLEANS, La. — Veta Buehler Pepitone, 84, died Wednesday, July 28, 2004, at her home. Mrs. Pepitone was born in Wilson, Kan. and went to school there. She had lived in the New Orleans area for more than 50 years. She was a retired bookkeeper. Survivors include a son, Joseph T. Pepitone of Metairie, La.; a daughter, Phyllis P. Jeandron of Metairie; four brothers, Orval Buehler of Morrowville, Kan., Glen Buehler of La Habra, Calif., Ted Buehler of Russell, Kan., and Dale Buehler of Wilson; two sisters, Joyce Podlena of Wilson and Ulalla Drake of Kansas City, Mo.; and a grandchildren. The memorial service was July 30 at the Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home.

Ronald E. Arkebauer (1934-2004)
Ronald E. Arkebauer, 70, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2004, at Good Samaritan Retirement Village. Mr. Arkebauer was born June 15, 1934, at Vesper. He was a retired baggage handler from the Union Pacific Railroad. He had been a resident of Good Samaritan Retirement Village since 1988. Survivors include a sister, Drucilla Richard, and her husband, Loren, of Ellsworth; a sister-in-law, Helen Arkebauer Mitchell, Salina; two nephews; and five nieces. The funeral was Aug. 24 at Rodrick and Minear Funeral Home, Sylvan Grove. Burial was in Bethlehem Lutheran Cemetery, Sylvan Grove. Memorials may be made to the cemetery or Good Samaritan Retirement Village. Rodrick and Minear Funeral Home, Second and Maryland, Sylvan Grove, 67481 was in charge of arrangements.

Helen M.M. Dryden (1917-2004)
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. — Helen Marion Maloney Dryden, 86, died Monday, Aug. 23, 2004. Mrs. Dryden was born Oct. 26, 1917, on a farm near Ellsworth, Kan. to John and Helen Maloney. She received her certificate as a registered nurse following training at St. John’s Hospital, Salina, Kan. She worked as a hospital and private duty nurse. She married Jim Dryden Feb. 7, 1942, at Lamar, Colo. He survives. Other survivors include two sons, Keats Henderson and Kimbo Dryden; two sisters, Lucile Jezek of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jan Walburn of Hutchinson, Kan.; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Genevieve Esch; and a baby child. A Mass in her honor was celebrated Aug. 26 at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Hot Springs. Her grandson, Keenan Henderson, delivered the eulogy.

Jack W. Grothusen (1920-2004)
Jack W. Grothusen, 83, died Sunday, Aug. 29, 2004, at his home near Ellsworth. Mr. Grothusen was born Nov. 18, 1920, at Ellsworth, to William and Christine Strella Grothusen. He was a farmer and rancher, and a lifetime resident of Ellsworth County. He was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Navy Air Corps, and was a member of the American Legion Post No. 174 and Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 6485, both in Ellsworth. He was a member of the Ellsworth County Veterans Memorial Hospital board of directors for 35 years, Ellsworth-Kanopolis- Geneseo School District board member for 20 years, and was named a Kansas State University Extension Master Farmer in 1976. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder and youth leader, a member of the Citizens State Bank and Trust Co. board of directors for 23 years, and member of the Kansas Livestock Association, and the National Livestock Association. He married May Diehl Jan 16 1946 She survives Other survivors include a son Allan Grothusen and daughter in law Karen Ellsworth; three daughters Nancy Smith, Leawood, Jean Plett and son-in-law Michael, Derby, and Janet Kloster, and son-in-law Steven, Smith Center; a brother, Dale Grothusen, Ellsworth; a sister, Dorothy Remley, Ellsworth; nine grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Ralph and Lloyd. The funeral was Wednesday at the church, Pastor Ben Ray officiating. Burial was in Ellsworth Cemetery with military rites. Memorials are to the Jack Grothusen Fund, which will be distributed among four local organizations. Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth, was in charge of arrangements.

Vernon W. Holzer (1924-2004)
FORT STOCKTON, Texas — Vernon W. Holzer, 80, died Friday, Aug. 27, 2004, in Odessa, Texas. Mr. Holzer was born Feb. 29, 1924, in Russell County, Kan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps who served in World War II. He was a retired electrician with Enron who had lived in Fort Stockton since 1965. He married Doris Evelyn Keener Nov. 29, 1951, in Great Bend, Kan. She survives. Other survivors include three sons, Reggie of Midland, Texas, Llewellyn of Lubbock, Texas, and Randall of Fort Stockton; and two grandchildren. The funeral was Monday at the Fort Stockton Funeral Home chapel, the Rev. Don Bennett officiating. Burial was in the East Hill Cemetery.

Lionel Thielen (1923-2004)
RUSSELL — Lionel Thielen, 80, died Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2004, at the Hays Medical Center. Mr. Thielen was born Sept. 10, 1923, in Russell County to Adam E. and Julia E. Mills Thielen. He was reared in the Dorrance area, where he was a farmer and rural mail carrier. He transferred to the Russell Post Office in 1976, two years before his retirement. He entered the U.S. Army in 1943 and served overseas during World War II. He was a former member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dorrance, and a current member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, VFW Post 6240, the American Legion and the Elk’s Lodge, all in Russell. He also formerly served on the board of directors of the Russell Savings & Loan and the Russell and Dorrance school board. He married Norma Lee Boxberger Feb. 25, 1952, at Russell. She survives. Other survivors include two daughters, Lisa Jezek and her husband, Ernie of Holyrood, and Julie Vonfeldt of Overland Park; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Brad, in 1971; and three brothers, Edward, Gerald and Jim. The funeral was Friday at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Revs. Charles Steier and James Grennan officiating. Burial with full military honors by the Russell VFW followed in Dorrance’s St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Russell Regional Hospital in care of Pohlman-Heise Mortuary, 610 N. Maple Street, Russell 67665.

Frank Ryan Vondra (1979-2004)
GREAT BEND -— Frank Ryan Vondra, 25, Great Bend, died Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004, at his home. Mr. Vondra was born Aug. 17, 1979, in Ellsworth. He was a laborer and longtime resident of Great Bend. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers Jean Vondra and Donna Campbell, and step-grandmother JoAn Johnson. Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Carolyn and Mike Johnson, Great Bend; his father and stepmother, Frank D. and Jeri Vondra, Little River; a brother, Darrick, Great Bend; a half brother, Travis Campbell, Denver; a stepbrother, Joshua Scripsick, Larned; a stepsister, Cindy Spreier, Larned; grandparents, Frank W. and Mary Jane Vondra, Geneseo, and Jack Campbell, Larned; and a step-grandfather, William Johnson, Ellinwood; and his special friend, Terra Decarlis. The funeral was Wednesday at St. Rose Catholic Church, Great Bend, Father Reggie Urban officiating. Burial will be in Lakin-Comanche District Cemetery, Ellinwood In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Kimple Funeral Home, 113 North Main, Ellinwood 67526 was in charge of arrangements.

Timothy D. Wright
MULVANE — Timothy D. Bouska Wright died Friday, Oct. 15, 2004. He attended Calvary Chapel Christian, Sunrise Christian Academy, Mulvane High School, St. John’s Military Academy and Metro Blvd. High School. During his senior year, he worked with the United Methodist Urban Ministry and Catholic Charities of downtown Wichita. He was a sophomore at Butler County Community College, El Dorado. He also was working part-time as an assistant grill master at the Juke Box in Wichita. Survivors include his parents, Dr. Paul and Janet Bouska Wright of Mulvane; a brother, Adam; his fiance, Shana Crowe of Wichita; and a grandmother, Mildred I. Wright, Wichita. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank J. and Christine Bouska and Orr C. Wright. The funeral was Oct. 21 at Smith Mortuary, Derby. Memorials may be made to the Bouska Family Scholarship, Kansas Nurses Foundation, 1208 S.W. Tyler, Topeka, Ks. 66612.

W.B. ‘Jack’ Cundiff (1910-2004)
HOLYROOD — W.B. “Jack” Cundiff, 93, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2004, at Clara Barton Hospital, Hoisington. Mr. Cundiff was born Dec. 24, 1910, in Oklahoma to Frank and Bessie Hartman Cundiff. He moved from Orinda, Calif., to Holyrood in 1988. He delivered furniture for 20 years for Brueners Furniture in Oakland, Calif. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in World War II. He also was a member of American Legion Post 200 and the St. Paul’s United Church of Christ, both in Holyrood. He married Gertrude Siemsen Oct. 8, 1947, in Reno, Nev. She survives. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews. The funeral was Monday at the St. Paul’s Church, Pastor Deborah Rains officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church or to the Siemsen Scholarship Fund. Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth, was in charge of arrangements.

Morton D. Reed (1946-2004)
Morton D. “Marty” Reed, 58, died Sunday, Oct. 17, 2004, at the Ellsworth County Medical Center. Mr. Reed was born May 5, 1946, at Alton, Ill., to Robert and Leah James Reed. He had lived the last 30 years at Ellsworth, having moved from McCracken. He was a retired Kansas Highway Patrol trooper. He was a past Ellsworth County commissioner, past Ellsworth city council member, and member and past commander of Ellsworth VFW Post No. 6485. He was a Marine, having served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. On July 4, 1970, at Zurich, he married Janet Ferland, who survives of the home. Other survivors include two sons, Darin and Daniel of Hays; two daughters, Lisa Weber of Hays and Lori Sprague of McPherson; and one grandson, Mason Weber of Hays. He was preceded in death by twin daughters, Dana Ann and Jana Marie, July 11, 1981. Services were Wednesday at the church with Father Dan Scheetz officiating. Burial was in Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery with military honors. Memorials may be made to the Marty Reed Memorial Fund. Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth, was in charge of arrangements.

George Thielen (1912-2004)
DORRANCE — George Thielen, 92, died Friday, Oct. 8, 2004, at Russell Regional Hospital. Mr. Thielen was born Jan. 13, 1912, at Dorrance to John P. and Ida Garrett Thielen. He was a lifetime resident of Dorrance, where he was a farmer-stockman and teacher and a member of the Knights of Columbus, Lions Club, co-op board and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. He married Ethel Coady May 12, 1936, at Russell. Survivors include two sons, Neal Thielen of Boulder, Colo., and Joseph Thielen of Dorrance; a daughter, Joan Kaufman of Topeka; a sister, Vivian Anschutz of Great Bend; 10 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral was Monday at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Father David Metz officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Wilson Senior Center or the St. Joseph’s Cemetery Fund. Foster Mortuary, Wilson, was in charge of arrangements.

Oscar Louis Larsen (1929-2004)
SALINA — Oscar Louis Larsen, 75, died Thursday, Oct. 7, 2004. Mr. Larsen was born April 6, 1929, in Rexford. He was a welder for Salina Steel. He was preceded in death by a son, Bruce, in 1965; and a daughter, Buffy Larsen, in 1986. Survivors include his wife, Ruth M., of Salina; two sons, Brian and Brent, both of Salina; four daughters, Rebecca Knight of Lenexa, Brenda Shelton of Highland Village, Texas, and Bari Larsen-Kerr and Bridget Larsen, both of Dallas; two brothers, Steve of Salina and Ivan of Kanopolis; three sisters, Esther Steinle of Salina, Agnes Stamm of Valley Center and Rosemary Thomas of Abilene; 15 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. The funeral was Monday at Sacred Heart Cathedral Salina Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery Memorials may be made to Hospice of Salina Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina, was in charge of arrangements.
