Galen Conyers, 74, died Friday, November 19, 2004, at his home in Waxahachie, Texas.
He was born May 2, 1930, in Piedmont, the son of Bert and Nettie (Geortz) Conyers.
He is survived by his wife, JoEtta Conyers of Waxahachie; sons, Robert Conyers of Carrollton, Texas and Scott Conyers of Laredo, Texas; daughters, Renee Conyers of Charleston, S.C.; Kim Davis of Glenn Heights, Texas, Charlotte McElroy of Saint Albert, Canada; Sharle Watkins of Howard and Pamela Fickle of Towanda; sisters Jesse Oblander of Aurora, Colo., Pauline Oblander of Eureka, Addie Kruse of McGregor, Texas and twelve grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 23 at the Waxahachie Bible Church.
CELESTA KIRKPATRICK
Celesta "Mae" Kirkpatraick, 72, of Eureka, died Saturday, November 27, 2004, at her residence at Magic Circle in Eureka. Cremation has been effected.
She is survived by one daughter, Vicki Jan of Kings Mountain, N.C.; seven grandchildren; one brother, William Maltby of Madison; and four sisters, MaryAnn Bumgardner of Eureka, Violet Armstrong of Madison, Doris McIlvaine of Wichita and Carol Sheck of Madison.
JOHN BRENTON
John P. Brenton, 81, of Topeka, died Wednesday, March 16, 2005, at his home.
He was born September 1, 1923, in Eureka, the son of Earl and Lena Brenton.
He is survived by two sons, James A. of Olathe and Ronald E. of Lawrence; two daughters, Tamara J. Taylor of Salina and Sandra K. Stroud of Topeka; three sisters, Donelda Brown, Lela Eaton and Mary Ellen Scott; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

WILLIAM JOHN LEWIS
William John Lewis, 79, of Piedmont died Friday, March 18, 2005, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
He was born in Wichita, the son of John W. and Frances (Hodgson) Lewis.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; a son Gary of Bartlesville, Okla., daughter, Mary Scott of Idalou, Texas; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one sister, Lois Kingsley of Wichita.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 22, with Pastor Alan Hunter officiating. Interment will be at Star Cemetery in Piedmont.
ELIZABETH MCKENZIE
Elizabeth Boone McKenzie, 90, of Eureka, died Friday, March 18, at Holiday Resort in Emporia.
She was born on August 10, 1914, in rural Neal, the daughter of Vernon and Cessina (Stringham) Boone.
She is survived by her son, Robert (Bob) of Virgil; two daughter, Margaret (Scooter) Lilley of Albuquerque, N.M. and Shirley (Sis) Gulick of Olpe; 15 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren; one sister, Alice Marie Casey and one brother, Myron Boone.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 22, at Koup Family Funeral Home with Tracy McKenzie officiating. Interment will be at Neal Cemetery.
ANN THILL
Ann Catherine McAntee Thill, 100, died Sunday, March 20, 2005, at Emporia Rehabilitation Center in Emporia.
She was born March 5, 1905, on a farm in the Duck Creek community near Reading, to John and Adelaide (Koetting) McAntee.
She is survived by three sons, Leo of Eureka, Harold of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Edwin of Sun City West, Ariz.; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and two step great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 24, at 10 a.m. with Father Darren Henson officiating. Interment will be in the Saint Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Olpe. Stella "Audra" Taylor, 96, of Eureka, died Friday, March 18, 2005, at Medicalodge of Eureka.
She was born March 28, 1908, in rural Fall River, the daughter of Charles and Amanda (West) Garriot.
Graveside services were held Monday, March 21, at Greenwood Cemetery with Reverend Dr. Gilbert Daniel officiating. Memorials have been established in her name to the Christian and Congregational Church, Medicalodge of Eureka and Greenwood County Hospice. T.D. WHEAT
T.D. Wheat, 88, of Iola, died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, at his home.
He was born July 30, 1916, in Parkerville, the son of Cecil C. and Mary E. (Dumford) Wheat.
He is survived by his wife, Naomi; son, Tom of Iola; daughter, Judy Francis of Olathe and two grandsons.
Cremation has been effected. Memorial services were held Saturday, March 19, at Wesley United Methodist Church with Reverend Lawrence J. Wiliford officiating. Waugh-Yokum & Fiskel Memorial Chapel in Iola was in charge of service arrangements.
DOROTHY BOOK
Dorothy Katherine Book, 88, of Howard, died Sunday, November 13, 2005, at the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, Kansas.
She was born on August 15, 1917, at Howard to James Henry and Lula Mae (Schul) Hileman.
She is survived by her nephews, Jimmy Hull of Towanda and William Force of New Port Richey, Fla. and a niece, Nadine Jones of Severy.
Graveside services were held November 17, 2005, at Grace Lawn Cemetery in Howard with Pastor Robin Haines of the Flint Hills Assembly of God officiating.

Sharon Kaye Carroll, 60, of Eureka, died Monday, November 21, 2005, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia.
She was born on March 27, 1945, in Sterling, the daughter of James W. and Alma V. (Stricklin) Hendricks.
She is survived by one son, Jeff Denner of Wichita; one daughter, Renae Patterson of Fort Lupton, Colo.; four brothers, Merel Hendricks of Rim Rock, Ariz., Jim Hendricks of Durango, Colo., Tracy Hendricks and Kenneth Hendricks, both of Eureka; and three grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 26, at Greenwood Cemetery, with Pastor Alan Hunter of the Jefferson Street Baptist Church officiating. Cremation has been effected.

Harold W. "Peanut" Wiggins, 86, died on Sunday, November 20, 2005, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
He was born September 17, 1919, in Eureka, the son of Fred and Otie (Mitchell) Wiggins.
He was survived by one daughter, Dori Moore-Miller of Kansas City, Mo.; one nephew, Jim Gray of Olathe; one niece, Leta Divine of Eureka; two step-grandsons and five step-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, November 26, 2005, at Koup Family Funeral Home, with Pastor Alan Hunter, of Jefferson Street Baptist Church, officiating.

Elinor R. Zimmerman, 84, of Wichita, died Thursday, November 17, 2005, at Sandpiper Bay Nursing Home, in Wichita.
She was born on December 15, 1920, in Watertown, S.D., the daughter of Henry and Alvira (Leddy) Lueb.
She is survived by one daughter, Laura Applegate of Wichita; three sisters, Virginia Gudenkauf of Seneca; Vivian Heidman of Seneca and Pat Henry of Tulsa, Okla. and three grandchildren.
The rosary and funeral mass were held on November 19, 2005, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church with Father Michael Klag officiating. Interment followed in Greenwood Cemetery.

MARGARET BRAZIL
Margaret Mahan Brazil, 88, of Norman, Okla. died Thursday, December 29, 2005, in Norman.
She was born May 22, 1917, in Eureka, the daughter of Royal Horace and Mabel Campbell Mahan.
She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Pester of Houston, Texas and Margaret "Markie" Stephens of Norman, Okla.; a brother, Gerald Mahan, of Los Gatos, Calif.; four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held January 2, 2006, at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Norman with Chaplain Harry Smith officiating. A Rosary will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, January 5, 2006, at Scared Heart Catholic Church in Eureka. A memorial mass will be held at 11:00 a.m., following the Rosary with Father Michael Klag celebrant. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Eureka. Local services are under the direction of Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman, Okla.

PAUL BROWN
Paul Pershing Brown, 81, of Severy, died, Monday, December 26, 2005, at the Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka.
He was born February 11, 1924, at Calumet, Okla., the son of Ervin Jay and Jessie Marie (Stroud) Brown.
He is survived by his wife, of the home; two sons, David of Severy and Jerry of Newark, Ark.; a daughter, Linda Signer Teichgraeber of Sun Lakes, Ariz.; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held December 29, at the Severy Baptist Church with Pastor Tony Pameticky offciating. Interment followed at the South Lawn Cemetery in Severy.
A memorial has been established with the Severy Baptist Church. Contributions may be left with Zimmerman Funeral Home, in Howard, who was in charge of arrangements.
BESSIE BURTIN
Bessie Irene (Evans) Burtin, 92, died, Monday, January 2, 2006, at the Greenwood County Hospital.
She was born on March 30, 1913, the daughter of John S. Evans and Nettie L. Blair in Buffalo, Mo.
She is survived by her five children, 18 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and 18 great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2006, at Koup Family Funeral Home, in Eureka. Pastor Alan Hunter of the Jefferson Street Baptist Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.

Warren George Godfrey, 85, died Thursday, December 29, 2005, at his home in rural Madison.
He was born on November 5, 1920, in Hartford, the son of Samuel W. and Gladys A. (Ellis) Godfrey.
He is survived by, a daughter, Linda Ford of Springdale, Ark.; grandchildren, Cory and Ashley Ford of Springdale, Ark.; one brother, Dan Godfrey of Hamilton and one sister, Mary Ida Stead of Emporia.
Funeral services were held January 3, 2006, at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia with Pastor Lee Hoskins of the First Untied Methodist Church in Emporia officiating. Interment followed at Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia.
Military service by Ball-McColm Post #5 American Legion, and Lowry-Funston Post #1980 of Veteran of Wars Emporia, Kansas.

Robert Joseph "Bigen" Harber, 66, of Neal, died Saturday, December 31, 2005, at Medicalodge in Eureka.
He was born on February 22, 1939, in Neal, the son of Amos B. and Aleda May (Shumard) Harber.
He is survived for four daughters, Cindy Boone of Eureka, Tammy White of Arkansas City; Tonya Nix of Blue Jacket, Okla. and Connie Lawrence of Gridley; twelve grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Roy "Pop" Harber of Eureka and two sisters, Betty Boone of Neal and Joyce Johnson of Wichita.
Funeral services were January 4, 2006, at Koup Family Funeral Home, Eureka with Pastor Mark Demas of the Neal United Methodist Church officiating. Interment followed at Neal Cemetery.

Pauline Florence Kennedy, 86, of Eureka, died on Friday, December 30, 2005, at the Greenwood County Hospital.
She was born March 18, 1919, in Eureka, the daughter of Edward Edwin Hale and Fannie (Nichols) Denner Hale.
She is survived by a sister, Leona Edwards, of Fredonia; three nephews and five nieces.

He was born September 5, 1930, the son of Sidney Ivan and Aural Lucretia (Westbrook) Mitchell on a farm near Severy.
He is survived by his wife, Mable Jo; his son, Ivan Mitchell of Chanute; his daughter, Mary Lynn (Townsley) Cameron of Severy; ten grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Private services will be held. Cremation has taken place.
