Mr. Hayden was born Jan. 9, 1916, at Huscher. He was a farmer and a stockman.
Survivors include a brother, Edward L. of Chapman; two sisters, Irene Browning of Jacksonville, Fla., and Evelyn M. Wiley of Somerset, Ky.; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Chaput-Buoy Funeral Chapel, 325 W. Sixth St., Concordia 66901. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Concordia.

WaKEENEY -- C. Richard Lacy, 76, Wakeeney, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2004.
Mr. Lacy was born Feb. 4, 1927, at Hays. He was an assistant foreman for Beech Aircraft in Wichita.
He was preceded in death by a grandchild.
Survivors include his wife, Mathilda "Tillie," of the home; three daughters, Mathilda Sipult of Benton, Vicki Jett of Sugar Creek, Mo., and Tonya M. Lacy-Schulte of Wichita; a half brother, Mike Montgomery of California; two half-sisters, Sarah Calle of Nevada and Cecilia Dickinson; four grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Schmitt Funeral Home, Wakeeney. Burial will be in Wakeeney City Cemetery.

OSBORNE -- Eugene H. "Bud" Schweitzer, 63, Osborne, died Thursday, Jan. 22, 2004.
Mr. Schweitzer was born June 13, 1940, at Alton. He retired as a heavy equipment operator for the Osborne County Highway Department in June, 2002.
Survivors include his wife, Dee, of the home; two sons, Jerry of Osborne and Rick of Omaha, Neb.; a daughter, Tammy of Phoenix; three sisters, Geneva Mason of Osborne, Eileen McReynolds of Westminster, Colo., and Juanita Korinek of Salina; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Clark-Gashaw Mortuary, 238 N. First, Osborne 67473. Burial will be in Osborne Cemetery.

Mrs. Confer was born Gladys Mae Kanel on May 30, 1916, in Bird City. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Edgar Edmonds, in 1963; and a stepgreat-grandson.
Survivors include her husband, Lester M. of St. Francis; a stepdaughter, Arlene Peter of St. Francis; a brother, Bill Kanel of Las Vegas; a sister, Helen Kyle of Cottage Grove, Ore.; three stepgrandchildren; nine stepgreat-grandchildren; and six stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Delmar L. "Bud" Jewell
Delmar L. "Bud" Jewell, 81, Salina, died Thursday, April 1, 2004.
Mr. Jewell was born Sept. 26, 1922, in West Liberty, Ohio. He served 28 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a master sergeant. He also worked in maintenance for First Christian Church, Salina, retiring in 1996.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillie, in 2000; a son, Del M., in 1994; a daughter, Georganne Jewell, in 1947; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Bruce of Kentucky and Gary of Salina; five daughters, Lorraine Jewell, Sharlene Milligan, Vera Jewell and Vanessa Jewell, all of Salina, and Trudy Fisher of Wakarusa; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Vicky Milleson of Salina.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina, with military honors provided by Fort Riley.

ELLSWORTH -- Armin W. Meitler, 91, Ellsworth, died Saturday, April 3, 2004.
Mr. Meitler was born April 10, 1912, on the family farm near Lucas. He was a retired farmer and woodcarver.
He was preceded in death by an infant son, Donald, in 1942.
Survivors include his wife, Norma of Ellsworth; two sons, Neal of Wales, Wis., and Gene of Lucas; a daughter, Lu Adams of Ellsworth; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Ellsworth. Burial will be private.

OTTAWA -- Lela Virginia Wonnell, 86, Quinter, died Sunday, April 4, 2004.
Mrs. Wonnell was born Lela Virginia Leopold on Feb. 25, 1918, in Quinter. She was a secretary for the Department of Nurse Education at Fort Hays State University until retiring in 1977.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, George Fischer; her second husband, Dallas Wonnell; and a daughter, Carol M. Wallace.
Survivors include two sons, Charles L. Wonnell of Richmond and Robert J. Wonnell of Clinton, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Lavada Campbell of Dallas, Ga.; 12 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Church of the Brethren, Quinter. Burial will be in Quinter Cemetery.

Mrs. Wyatt was born Margaret Mary Ringwelski on May 22, 1931, in Little Falls, Minn. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harrison L. "Squirt," in 1998; two infant daughters, Yvonne and Renee; and a grandson.
Survivors include two sons, Jay of Lebanon, Neb., and Jon of Norton; three daughters, Joy Fischer of Ellis, Julie Smith of Wilsonville, Neb., and Anita Farrington of Minneapolis; two brothers, George Ringwelski and Ed Ringwelski, both of St. Paul, Minn.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford, in 1989; a daughter, Lois in 1944; and a great-grandson.
Survivors include two daughters, Loretta Schneider of Olpe and Louise Johnson of Hutchinson; three sons, James of Corpus Christi, Texas, Roy of Geneseo and Larry of Ellsworth; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
