LINCOLN — Orvel Ray “Orv” Hildebrandt, 70, Lincoln, died Feb. 22, 2005.
Mr. Hildebrandt was born April 6, 1934, in Ellsworth. He worked with heavy equipment and farmed.
He was preceded in death by a grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Gayle; a stepdaughter, Michelle Lynn Shillito; a stepson Michael Carl Seidl; an adopted daughter, Julie Ray Hildebrandt- McArdle; a son, Daniel Ray Hildebrandt; a sister, Margie Brull; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service was held at his crypt in a mausoleum in 8H Forest Lawn Cemetery, Gresham, Ore. A second memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 13, at Hall Funeral Home, 111 E. Elm, Lincoln 67455.

RUSSELL — A memorial service for Fred E. Lipprand, 96, Russell, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 15th and Ash, Russell.
Mr. Lipprand died Thursday, Feb. 24, 2005.

STOCKTON — Leona Livingston, 96, Stockton, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005.
Mrs. Livingston was born Leona Roskilly on Jan. 12, 1909, northeast of Stockton. She was a caregiver and worked at the Solomon Valley Manor for many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, in 1965.; an infant son, Charles Calvin, in 1934; and a son, Alford Duane, in 1984.
Survivors include a daughter, Clara Lee Strutt of Stockton; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Smith-Moore-Overlease Funeral Home, 723 N. First, Stockton 67669. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery, northwest of Stockton.

COLBY — Shirley L. Maxwell, 79, Colby, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005.
Mrs. Maxwell was born Shirley L. Roberts on Feb. 7, 1926, in Benkelman, Neb. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Robert “Bob” of Colby; a son, Ron L. of Hephzibah, Ga.; a daughter, Sandra K. McMillen of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; a brother, Virgil “Delton” Roberts of Sparks, Nev.; a sister, Phyllis Roelfs of St. Francis; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Colby. Burial will be in the Catholic Cemetery in Sequin.
A vigil and rosary will be at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Kersenbrock Funeral Chapel, 745 S. Country Club, Colby 67701.

REPUBLIC — Lucille M. Meggitt, 74, Republic, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005.
Mrs. Meggitt was born Lucille M. Jewell on Jan. 29, 1931, in Superior, Neb. She was a homemaker.
Her husband, Robert, died in 1995.
Survivors include a daughter, Maxine VanMeter of Concordia; a son, Robert Meggitt of Ceresco, Neb.; three brothers, Donald Jewell of Lincoln, Neb., Kenneth Barleen of Tecumseh, Neb., and Dewayne Barleen of St. Paul, Neb.; two sisters, Caroline Todd of Lincoln, Neb., and Judy Kinghorn of DeWitt, Neb.; seven grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church, Republic. Inurnment will be in Washington Cemetery, Republic.

MILTONVALE — Donald LeRoy Murnahan, 58, Miltonvale, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005.
Mr. Murnahan was born Sept. 17, 1946, in Salina. He was a doughnut maker at Casey’s General Store.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon of the home; two sons, Steve of Salina and Brandon of Miltonvale; five brothers, Robert, Paul, Allon, Greg and Mark; and a grandchild.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.

CLYDE — Leland A. Ostlund, 88, Clyde, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005.
Mr. Ostlund was born Jan. 16, 1917, in Clyde. He was a farmer.
Survivors include a brother, Karl of Bloomington, Minn.; and a sister, Louise Ostlund of Leavenworth.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Zion Lutheran Church, Clyde. Burial will be in Brantford Covenant Cemetery, Clyde, with military honors by Fort Riley.

Nona Mae Ouderkirk
TOPEKA — Nona Mae Ouderkirk, 78, Topeka, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005.
Mrs. Ouderkirk was born May 27, 1926, near Zurich, the daughter of Paul O. and Della Thyfault Bouchey. She and her husband formerly owned and operated the Smith Implement Co. in Smith Center for many years. She was a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Topeka and St. Ann’s Sodality in Zurich and a lifelong member of the VFW auxiliary in Smith Center. She was active in the parishes of the Catholic churches in Downs and Zurich, sang for many funerals and weddings and was active in Boy Scouts and school activities. She married Milton Henry Ouderkirk on June 20, 1946, in Zurich. He died in 1985. A daughter, Carleen Marie Clark, died in 2003.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Paul Ouderkirk of Las Cruces, N.M., and David Dean Ouderkirk of Salina; two daughters, Carolyn Kay VanderGeisen of Las Cruces and Michele Pam Woods of Topeka; two sisters, Jean Basgall of Sacramento, Calif., and Karen Vires of Doyline, La.; 12 grandchildren, Bill, Tim and Jere VanderGeisen, Cindy Ridder, Chad Clark, Layla Migliori, Chuck Ouderkirk, Joni Sanchez, Nicole Woods, Logan and Meghan Ouderkirk and Katie McAllaster; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Plainville, the Rev. Joe Popelka officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Palco.
A parish vigil will be at 7 p.m. Thursday, followed by a rosary at Moore-Overlease Funeral Chapel, 409 S. Cochran, Plainville 67663.

Mr. Piper was born July 26, 1936, in Salina. He was a welder for ADM and farmed east of Salina.
Survivors include his special friend, Peggy Piper of Salina; a son, Bobby L. Piper Jr. of Salina; two daughters, Roxanne Griep of Arvada, Colo., and Rhonda Breese of Solomon; a brother, Donald of Salina; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

George Marshall Sherraden
CHAPMAN — George Marshall Sherraden, 91, Chapman, died Monday, Feb. 28, 2005.
Mr. Sherraden was born Feb. 27, 1914, southeast of Chapman. He sold real estate in Raymore, Mo., retiring in 1990.
His wife, Josie, died in 1992.
Survivors include five daughters, Sharon McCarthy of Hollister, Calif., Dixie Thomas of Shawnee Mission; Vickie Carter of Edgemont, Ark., Julie Elson of Emporia and Sharmon Sherraden of Phoenix; two sisters, Mabel Amthauer and Virginia Parsons, both of Lawrence; three brothers, Bob of Junction City, Edward of Salina and Kenneth of Dayton, Ore.; eight grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Chapman United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Abilene Cemetery.

ATWOOD — Joseph W. Sis, 93, Atwood, died Sunday, Feb. 27, 2005.
Mr. Sis was born Aug. 10, 1911, in Atwood. He was manager of the Beardsley Elevator from 1968 to 1978.
Survivors include two sisters, Agnes Turner of Odessa, Wash., and Ann Sutton of Atwood; and many nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Atwood. Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, rural Atwood, with military rites by American-Legion Sam Hubbard Post 46, Atwood.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gladys Kincaid; a stepson, Darren Kincaid; a stepdaughter, Sharon Smith; and an infant grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Louise of Colby; a son, Ronald Swank of Alexandria, La.; two stepsons, Tom Kincaid of Sparta, Tenn., and Charles Kincaid of Norton; two daughters, Jean Brown and Sonja Wiggens, both of Atwood; a half brother, Albert Phinney of Salina; five grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in Rexford Cemetery, Rexford.
