Berniece Henrietta Snyder
Berniece Henrietta Snyder, 92, Salina, died Wednesday, July 20, 2005.
Mrs. Snyder was born Berniece Henrietta Swanson on Sept. 1, 1912, in Smolan to Oscar F. and Emma C. Swanson.
She graduated from Smolan High School. She retired in 1974 as an alteration specialist at Model Laundry & Cleaner, Salina.
She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Altar Guild at the church, WELCA and the “Anna” ladies group of the church. She was a greeter and served on the funeral dinner committee.
She was married to Edward W. Snyder on Aug. 15, 1931, in Salina. He preceded her in death in 1982.
She was also preceded in death by a son, Delmar G.; three sisters, Viola Swanson, Lenoris Riley and Goldie Shublom; and a brother, Clarence Swanson.
Survivors include a daughter, Ellen Vaupel and husband William of Salina; a son, Leland and wife Shirley of Phoenix; three grandsons, William E. Vaupel Jr. and wife Janet of Colorado Springs, Colo., Gary R. Vaupel of Salina and Ronald D. Vaupel and wife Suzanne of Wichita; two great-granddaughters, Megan C. Vaupel of Salina and Katherine E. Vaupel of Wichita; and two great-grandsons, Tom W. Vaupel and Joe E. Vaupel, both of Colorado Springs, Colo.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Salina. Burial will be in Gypsum Hill Cemetery, Salina.
Memorials may be made to the church.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Carlson-Ford-Geisendorf Funeral Home, 500 S. Ohio, Salina 67401, where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Lila I. Wilson
GLASCO — Lila I. Wilson, 93, Glasco, died Wednesday, July 20, 2005.
Mrs. Wilson was born Lila I. Horn on Sept. 8, 1911, near Glasco. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, in 1997.
Survivors include three sons, Charles and Leon, both of Glasco, and Robert of Beloit; two daughters, Ellen Paulsen of Lawrence and Ann Beeton of Cleveland, Mo.; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Glasco. Burial will be in Glasco Cemetery.

OAKLEY — Mildred Clark, 91, Oakley, died Monday, July 25, 2005.

Melvin F. Glad
GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. — Melvin F. Glad, 83, Green Valley, formerly of Weskan, died Sunday, July 24, 2005.
Mr. Glad was born Jan. 6, 1922, in Weskan. He was a farmer and a crop adjuster for various insurance companies.
He was preceded in death by a grandson.
Survivors include his wife, Mary; two daughters, Lennea Tope of Green Valley and Sonja Weeden of St. Francis; and seven grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Mountain time at Weskan School Gymnasium.
Visitation will be from 1 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bateman Funeral Home, 11th & Broadway, Box 278, Goodland 67735 and 8 a.m. until the service Friday at the school.
Eunice M. Harms
HEBRON, Neb. — Eunice M. Harms, 77, Hebron, died Saturday, July 23, 2005.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Victor.
Survivors include three sons, Steven and Douglas, both of Davenport, and Dr. Bruce Harms of Madison, Wis.; a sister, Norma Frye of Hebron; three brothers, Basil Johnson of Superior, Gayle Johnson of Davenport and Victor Johnson of Deshler; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter Lutheran Church, Deshler. Burial will be in Deshler City Cemetery.

GYPSUM — Virginia M. Jones, 83, Gypsum, died Sunday, July 24, 2005.
Mrs. Jones was born Virginia Marguerite Goucher on Dec. 20, 1921, in York, Neb. She was a lunch room manager at Ruth Pyrtle School, Lincoln, Neb.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jess M., in 1978.
Survivors include six daughters, Sharon Gimeson and Charlene Conway, both of Gypsum, Susan Zweerink of Sterling, Neb., Rose Lyle of Lincoln, Neb., Linda Engleman of Kansas City, and Anita Jones of Salina; a brother, Hubert R. Shipman of Oregon; a sister, Donna Jones of Durant, Miss.; 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401. A graveside service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Lincoln Memorial Park, Lincoln, Neb.

CONCORDIA — Jeri K. Longsine, 53, Concordia, died Sunday, July 24, 2005.
Mrs. Longsine was born Jeri K. Dawson on Dec. 2, 1951, in Oxford, Neb. She was a child-care provider.
Survivors include her husband, Connell, of the home; a daughter, Brandy Sanders of Gilbert, Ariz.; two brothers, Gary Dawson of Oxford, Neb. and Darrell Dawson of Concordia; two sisters, Jeanie Shellenbarger of Loveland, Colo., and Jan Walters of Catherine; and a granddaughter.

Mr. Martin was born Sept. 23, 1956, in Hutchinson.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara of Hutchinson; two brothers, Robert Jr. of Topeka and Lonnie of Lindsborg; a sister, Elizabeth Martin of Salina.
A private family memorial service will be at a later date.

Kiffi Leugene Musfelt
Kiffi Leugene Musfelt, 52, Salina, died Saturday, July 23, 2005.
Mrs. Musfelt was born Kiffi Leugene Steimel on Jan. 15, 1953, in Dodge City, the daughter of Eugene Henry and Arvis (Niemeier) Steimel. She was an office clerk for the city of Salina.
She graduated from Coronado High School, Colorado Springs, Colo. She received an associate’s degree in commercial art from Pike’s Peak College in 1974 and a certificate of business and computer technology from Salina Area Technical School.
She was married to Ronald Dale Musfelt on Oct. 11, 1980, in Salina.
She was a member of OES Harmony Chapter No. 2 and Native Daughters and was baptised at Bethany Baptist Church, Colorado Springs. She attended Mentor United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Joe.
Survivors include her husband, Ron, of Salina; her mother, Arvis Steimel, of Hope; three sons, Adam and wife Amanda of Emporia, Eugene of Wichita and Tristan of Salina; and three granddaughters, Anna, Aubrey and April Musfelt, all of Emporia.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Inurnment will be private at Hope Cemetery.

Mr. Neywick was born Vernon Eugene Neywick on May 20, 1914, in Falun. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by two wives, Grace, in 1949, and Lillie E., in 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Harold and Earl, both of Falun; a daughter, Marilyn Smith of Falun; six grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Nuttelman was born Mildred H. Schrepel on Oct. 11, 1915, in Little River. She had taught school in rural Pratt County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Fred, in 1981.
Survivors include two sons, Bob of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Al of Enterprise; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Shanley was born Janet L. Wells on Aug. 29, 1939 in McPherson. She was a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital and The Cedars Nursing Home, McPherson.
Survivors include two sons, David of Pratt and Michael of Monterey, Calif.; a daughter, Lisa Elliott of Lynn, Mass.; a sister, Karen Fendt of McPherson; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell “Bill,” and two sons.
