GILLETTE, Wyo. — Alice Krause, 85, Gillette, formerly of Phillipsburg, Kan., died Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2006.
Mrs. Krause was born Alice Stapel on Oct. 14, 1920, in Phillips County, Kan. She was a waitress.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert, in 1972.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Strnad of Deaver; a brother, Billie Stapel of Phillipsburg; a sister, Wilma Chase of Phillipsburg; a granddaughter; and a great-grandson.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Olliff-Boeve Memorial Chapel, 1115 Second, Phillipsburg 67661. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
Memorials may be made to Alice Krause Memorial.
Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to service time Monday at the funeral chapel.
Myron J. McCready
MINNEAPOLIS — Myron J. McCready, 56, Minneapolis, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006.
Mr. McCready was born Aug. 7, 1949, in Concordia. He owned and operated Green Line Service Center, Minneapolis.
Survivors include his wife, Judy, of Minneapolis; two daughters, Becky Myers of Minneapolis and Amy Stover of Prairie Village; his parents, Frank and Jean McCready, of Bennington; two brothers, Mark and Ted, both of Mentor; a sister, Beth Morrison of Salina; and a granddaughter.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bennington Bible Church. Burial will be in Bennington Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for medical expenses, in care of State Bank of Delphos, or Ottawa County Bank, Minneapolis, or Community Bible Church, Minneapolis.

OAKLEY — Luke A. Racette, 78, Oakley, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006.
Mr. Racette was born Oct. 1, 1927, in Sheridan County. He was a farmer.
He was preceded in death by a son, Greg.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ann, of Oakley; four sons, Bill of Larned and Kennan, Darren and Rocky, all of Oakley; three daughters, Kathy Wolak of Goodland, Lori Teichmer of Grinnell and Donella Younkin of Oakley; three brothers, Wilcid and Wilbur, both of Oakley, and Danny of Colby; six sisters, Rita Ribordy of Salina, Thelma Beckman and Harriet Schroeder, both of Oakley, Betty Zimmerman of Goodland, Phyllis Zerr of Quinter and Geneva Robben of Des Moines, Iowa; 21 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Grinnell. Burial of cremains will be at a later date in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Grinnell.
A rosary and wake will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at Kennedy-Koster Funeral Home, 217 Freeman, Box 221, Oakley 67748.

LAKEWOOD, Colo. — Edwin R. Schaffer, 80, Lakewood, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006.
Mr. Schaffer was born March 31, 1925, in Beloit, Kan. He owned a transmission shop in Lakewood for more than 20 years.
Survivors include his wife, Wilma Deane (Good) Schaffer, of Lakewood; two sons, Mike and Terry, both of Lakewood; and five grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church, Lakewood. Burial will be in Olinger Crown Hill Cemetery, Wheatridge.
A rosary will be said at 6 p.m. Monday at Olinger Crown Hill Chapel, 7777 W. 29th, Wheatridge 8003.

Mr. Smith was born Feb. 7, 1932, in Goodland. He was a retired parts manager at motor companies.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille, of Goodland; two sons, Timothy of Wichita and Thomas of Omaha, Neb.; a daughter, Eunice Schroeder of Hugoton; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and a stepgreat-grandchild.

MANHATTAN — Emily Seaburg Tidball, 98, Manhattan, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2006.
Mrs. Tidball was born Emily Seaburg Zorkenson on Oct. 6, 1907, in Cleburne. She taught music in public schools in central Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Myrl.
Survivors include a niece, Lorraine Messenheimer of Chandler, Ariz.
A memorial service will be held at a later date in Lucas. Inurnment will be in Lucas Cemetery. The body was donated to University of Kansas Medical Center.

Milton L. Baxter
Milton L. Baxter, 82, Salina, died Monday, May 8, 2006.
Mr. Baxter was born March 11, 1924, in Salina and was a lifetime resident of Saline County. He was the son of Floyd and Elsie (Amann) Baxter. He was employed with Graves Truck Line, Salina, retiring in 1981.
He was a member of Sacred Heart Cathedral, Salina. He was a Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus and served in the Seabees during World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Viola M., of the home; a son, Milton L. of McCook, Neb.; three daughters, Kathy Saum of Marquette, Neb., Debra Baxter of Ramah, N.M., and Susan Baxter of Nickerson; two sisters, Helen Janicke and Jean Albright, both of Salina; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Cathedral, Ninth and Iron, Salina. Burial will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Salina.
A vigil and rosary will be at 7 p.m. today at Ryan Mortuary, 137 N. Eighth, Salina 67401.

Survivors include his wife, Genevieve C. (Smith) Bohl, of rural Phillipsburg; a son, Edwin H. Dr. Davis was born Aug 12, 1926, in Salina, Kan. He was a retired cardiac, vascular, thoracic and general surgeon.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy.
Survivors include a brother, Don of Decorah, Iowa; his children, Tad and Todger, both of Denver, Chuck of Asheville and Elizabeth Tidball and Jim, both of Raleigh.

Mrs. Delka was born Olive Esther Smith on July 14, 1917, in Cedar Bluffs. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, in 1971; two grandsons; and a great-grandson.
Survivors include her children, Neil of Ronoke, Texas, Don of Hardy, Ted and Bill, both of Guide Rock, Frank and Dale, both of Beloit, Ray of Roca, Elaine Delka of Mason City, Iowa, Betty Ehlers of Marion, Joe of Nashville, Tenn., and Doris Epke of Schoenchen; 32 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
