CARMEL, Ind. — Emma Marie Baker, 93, Carmel, formerly of Abilene, Kan., died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2006.
Mrs. Baker was born Emma Marie Longenecker on Aug. 26, 1913.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Paul Baker, in 1982.
Survivors include a son, Roger Edward Price of Tennessee; two daughters, Emma Jane Van Gilder of Fort Wayne and Ada Amos of Carmel; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
The body was cremated. Services and burial will be in summer 2007.

OBERLIN — Vic Bryan, 88, Oberlin, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2006.
Mr. Bryan was born Oct. 22, 1918, in Decatur County. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Opal, of Oberlin; two daughters, Sharon Slabaugh of Oberlin and Jeanne Britton of North Glenn, Colo.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at United Methodist Church, Oberlin. Burial will be in Oberlin Cemetery.

OVERLAND PARK — Ione Grace Buchheister, 80, Overland Park, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006.
Mrs. Buchheister was born Ione Grace Homburg on March 28, 1926, in rural Ellis. She was retired after teaching for 24 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Nelson Buchheister, in 2005.
Survivors include a daughter, Wanda “Wendy” Macek of Overland Park; two sons, William “Bill” of Overland Park and Philip of The Colony, Texas; three sisters, Doris Betthauser of Derby, Jane Bowyer of Great Bend and Kay Enna of Kansas City, Mo.; four grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. John Lutheran Church, rural Ellis. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Miss Heikes was born Sept. 26, 1917, in Clay County.

James Ray “Jim” Hutchinson
RAPID CITY, S.D. — James Ray “Jim” Hutchinson, 86, Rapid City, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2006.
Mr. Hutchinson was born July 4, 1920, in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Noble Max and Mary Emma (McCluskey) Hutchinson.
He served as a B-17 navigator and Army Air Corps officer (2nd lieutenant) during World War II.
He graduated from the University of Oklahoma, Norman, Okla., with a degree in petroleum engineering in 1943. He was employed by Cities Service Oil Co. for 20 years as a petroleum district engineer.
In 1969, he graduated from Dubuque Seminary, Dubuque, Iowa, as minister of word and sacrament of the Presbyterian Church, USA. He was installed as minister of First Presbyterian Church in Minneapolis, Kan. In 1976, he obtained his senior certified alcoholism/drug addiction counselor’s certification. He worked for St. John’s Hospital, Salina, Kan., and Central Kansas Foundation.
He married Mary Catherine (Craig) Selby in 1990.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Virginia “Vickie,” in 1975; and a daughter, Pamela Lee Collison, in 2003.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Catherine; two sons, Ray of Dubuque and John Hutchinson and wife Dr. Kathy Platoni of Beavercreek, Ohio; a son-in-law, Mark Collison; three grandchildren, Joshua, Melissa and Micah Collison of Sioux Falls; two stepchildren, Michael Selby and wife Michelle and Kathleen Selby and husband Don Lamoureaux; and three stepgrandchildren, Amanda Brown of Santa Fe, N.M., and Teela and Rose Lamoureaux, both of Mission.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Rapid City. After cremation, burial will be in Black Hills National Cemetery, Sturgis.

Mrs. Palmberg was born Doris Ellen Bell on Oct. 15, 1933, in rural Morland. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Edward Dinkel, in 1970 and Albert Palmberg, in 1995.
Survivors include four sons, Gary Dinkel of Loveland, Colo., Don Dinkel and Leon Dinkel, both of Hays, and Alan Dinkel of Plainville; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hays. A graveside service will be at 2:30 p.m. in St. Anthony Cemetery, St. Peter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; a brother, Elmer; and two grandchildren.
Survivors include two sons, Harold I. and wife Johnnie Ruth of Streetman, Texas, and Lyle E. and wife Tanya of Joplin, Mo.; a daughter, C. Llewellen “Lou” Weis and husband Ron of Minneapolis; 12 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis.

Mrs. Reynolds was born Dorocile Foust Pepper on Nov. 4, 1921, in Abilene. She was a retired owner of Foust Supply Co., Goodland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Foust.
Survivors include a son, Mike Foust of Goodland; a daughter, Lynn Hildebrand of Salina; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by an infant granddaughter and an infant great-granddaughter.
Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Crane of Superior, Neb., and Jana Tuxhorn of Columbus, Neb.; five sons, Dennis and Doyle, both of Mankato, Daryle of Monett, Mo., Delmer of Downs and Marlin of Aurora, Neb.; 21 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

MINNEAPOLIS — Donna Charlene Rupert, 72, Minneapolis, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2006.
Mrs. Rupert was born Donna Charlene Krizek on Nov. 12, 1934, in rural Delphos, the daughter of Charlie and Blanche Hurtig Krizek. She was a farm wife and former secretary at Western Star Mills, Salina, and the Tinker Toy Co., Chicago. She owned The Smart Shop, Minneapolis, for 21 years.
She married Stephen C. Rupert on May 21, 1955, in Minneapolis.
She was an elder and clerk of session for First Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Quest Club and the former Home Arts Club, all at Minneapolis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and four sisters, Marjorie Krizek, Maggie Lindsey, Margaret Chapman and Marie Darrow.
Survivors include her husband, Stephen C., of Minneapolis; two daughters, Valerie Crum of Minneapolis and Charlene Rupert and fiance J. Trost of Beloit; and five grandchildren, Jeremy and Wade Adams and Shelly, Stacy and Brandan Crum.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at First Presbyterian Church, Minneapolis, the Rev. FrankLyn Schroeder officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Minneapolis.

Mr. Stetz was born Aug. 21, 1907, in Streator, Ill. He was an entrepreneur.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary, in 1990.
Survivors include two sons, Stephen Jr. of St. Louis and Philip of Nacogdoches, Texas; a sister, Lorraine Monahan of Streator; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 12 p.m. Monday, Dec. 11, at St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Fort Worth, Texas. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park Cemetery, Fort Worth.
