ST. LOUIS — Annette (Monsour) Molina, 47 of St. Louis, MO, formerly of
Longmont, Colo., died at 10 a.m. Monday Nov. 16, 2009 at the Missouri
Baptist Medical Center following a sudden illness.
She was born April 20, 1962, in Pittsburg, KS, the daughter of Peter and
Maralyne (Owens) Monsour. She attended and graduated from St. Mary’
s Colgan with honors and went on to Pittsburg State University where she
was on the Dean’s Honor Roll and received degrees in Chemistry and
Biology. She was accepted into medical school at Kirksville, MO.
On July 2, 2005, she was united in marriage to Robert Molina in
California.
Annette always had concern for others. She tried hard to show her love
of God by loving her family and friends. She brought a ray of sunlight
with her smile and was always trying to help anyone in need. She
showed this through her professional life by working in pharmaceutical
research. At present she was the Manager of Clinical Data for Covidien
Pharmaceutical Company. She also worked in Kansas, California,
Massachusetts and internationally in Germany. She loved her profession
knowing that she was working in an area which could improve the lives of
others. She had just moved to the St. Louis area to take the position with
Covidien before becoming ill.
Survivors include her husband Robert of Longmont, CO, father and
mother of Pittsburg; three sisters: Maresa Monsour of Pittsburg, Alesia
McDonald of Clinton, MO, and Zena Weist of Overland Park, KS, a
brother Peter Monsour, III and many cherished nieces and nephews who
were very important in her life.
A celebration of her life Memorial Mass will be at 11:30 am, Thursday,
November 19, 2009, with Fr. Thomas Stroot as Celebrant. Private
inurnment will take place at a later date. Parish rosary will be recited at 7
p.m., Wednesday, at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, family will receive
friends following the rosary.
Memorials may be made to the St. Jude Children's Research
Hospital, these may be left at or mailed to the funeral home.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home
522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS, 66762.

SCAMMON, KS – Daniel F. “Danny” Roberts, 59, of rural Scammon, KS,
died at 9 am Monday, November 16, 2009 at Maude Norton Memorial
Hospital in Columbus, KS. He had been in ill health for 10 years and a
patient in the hospital since November 1, 2009.
He was born September 18, 1950 in Pittsburg, KS the son of Leo and
Veda Stotts Roberts. Danny had been a life long resident of Cherokee
County, Kansas. He was graduated from Columbus High School with the
class of 1969.
He married Lisa Grant on October 15, 1988 in Miami, Oklahoma and she
survives at the home.
Danny was a pipefitter and welder working on construction until ill health
forced his retirement.
Membership was held in St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Scammon, KS;
the Pipefitters Local Union #658 in Joplin, MO and Ducks Unlimited.
Survivors in addition to his wife Lisa of the home include one daughter
Danielle Roberts of the home; four sons Cody Roberts of League City,
Texas; Casey Roberts of Columbus; Tyler Soper of Overland Park and
Dillon Roberts of Columbus; one brother Robbie Roberts of Galena, KS
and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Cody Soper and one
brother Joe Roberts.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 am Thursday, November 19, 2009 at
St. Bridget’s Catholic Church in Scammon, KS with Father Chrysostom
Ah Maung, as celebrant. The parish rosary will be recited at 7 pm
Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the church, where the family will
receive their friends following the rosary service. Friends may call from 3
to 5 pm Wednesday at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home, 104 W. Main, in
Weir, KS. Mr. Roberts will be taken to the church at 5 pm on Wednesday.

John Robert (Johnny Bob) Pallett, 85 lifelong resident and local gardener
of Weir, KS died at 7:50 a.m. Saturday November 14, 2009 at the home
of his daughter Diana in Cherokee.
He was born March 12, 1924 in Weir, KS the son of Fred and Mamie
(Johnson) Pallett. He lived in Weir his entire life and attended Weir
Schools.
Johnny was a veteran of WWII serving his country in the United States
Army.
He married Mary Marie Hamblin on March 25, 1950 in Bentonville, AR ;
she survives at the home.
Johnny worked as a gardener and grounds keeper from the early 70’s
until the late 1980’s for Pittsburg State University. On his own time he
enjoyed gardening.
Survivors include his wife Mary of the home; 2 daughters Diana Lovell
and husband Jim of Cherokee; daughter Dixie Newberry and husband
Michael of Columbus; a sister Dolores Torchia of Kansas City; 4
Grandchildren and 9 Great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by
his parents and sisters Belle Christensen and Lorraine Majors.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday November 19, 2009 at the
Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Weir with Aaron Williams officiating. Burial
will follow in the Hosey HillCemeterywhere the Ft. Riley funeral honors
detail team will conduct full military honors. The family will receive friends
from 6-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home in Weir where friends may
call after 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Memorial contributions can be made to Angels Among
Us, memorials may be brought by or mailed to the Bath-Naylor Funeral
Home 104 W. Main St. Weir, KS 66781.

Gannette Lois Baker, 79, of Girard, KS died 7:05 a.m., Thursday,
November 12, 2009 at Mt. Carmel Regional Medical Center.
No services are planned at this time. Arrangements are under the
direction of Bath-Naylor Funeral Home & Crematory, Pittsburg.

Mary Z. Gaches, 81 of Duenweg, MO died at 6:29 a.m. Wednesday
November 11, 2009 at the St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin,
MO.
She was born August 23, 1928 in Diamond, MO the son of Charles and
Ella May (Hankins) Wilson.
Mary had lived in Kansas City Kansas 10 years and Barstow, CA for 15
years.
She married Willard Gaches on July 28, 1946 in Girard, KS. He
survives at the home.
Mary was a unit clerk and aide working for Mt Carmel Regional Medical
Center in Pittsburg for 16 years retiring in 1986.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Douglas, KS; and a
member of AARP.
Survivors include her husband of the home; 5 sons-Gary Gaches of
Pittsburg, Larry Gaches of Springfield, MO, Glen Gaches of Joplin, MO,
Scott Gaches of Rose Hill, Ronnie Gaches of Duenweg, MO; a daughter
Karla Walters of Eldorado; a sister Edith Katherine Riechley of
Jonesboro, AR; 10 Grandchildren and 12 Great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Mary Louise Gaches; 3
brothers-Lloyd, Cecil and Roy Wilson; 4 sisters-Nellie Sprag, Louise
Anderson, Nadine Browning and Betty Fogarty.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday November 17, 2009 at the Bath-
Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg with Reverend Dan Muter officiating.
Burial will follow in the Highland Park Cemetery. The family will receive
friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday November 16, 2009 at the Bath-Naylor
Funeral Home where friends may call after 9 a.m. Monday.

Robert Lee Harris, 81 formerly of Pittsburg died at 8:06 am Saturday,
November 07, 2009 at the Golden Living Center in Eldorado, KS.
He was born June 18, 1928 in Penokee, KS the son of Arley and Eva J.
“Nordike” Harris. He entered the U.S. Army on June 26, 1952 and was
honorably discharged on June 22, 1955.
Robert was a farmer all of his life.
Survivors include 3 sons: Timothy Reid of Pittsburg, Robert Harris of
Marysville, KS and Donald Harris of Greenleaf, KS; a daughter Sheila
Rutherford of Burns, KS; a brother Kenneth Harris of Bogue, KS; a sister
Leona Sauer of Wichita along with a granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers Adolph,
Donald, Junior, Clyde, Raymond, Edward and Carroll Harris and a sister
Mary Potteroff.
Funeral services will be 2 pm, Friday, November 13, 2009, at the Bath-
Naylor Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Johnson officiating. Burial will
follow in the Highland Park Cemetery. Family will receive friends at the
funeral home starting at 1 pm until service time.

PITTSBURG — Ada Loretta Dayton, 102 of Pittsburg, KS died at 5:20 a.
m., Friday, November 6, 2009 at Cornerstone Village in Pittsburg, KS.
Ada was born June 9, 1907 in Oran, MO to Leo and Anna (Shoat) Halter.
She attended area schools in Oran, graduating from Oran High School.
On January 30, 1928, she married Lt. Maxwell Freeman Dayton. He
preceded her in death on August 10, 1944.
Ada was a homemaker and later worked for J.C. Penny’s until she retired.
Ada was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg.
Ada was an original charter member of Wilson Alexander American
Legion Auxiliary Unit #306.
Ada is survived by her six grandchildren Scott Joseph Dayton of Dripping
Springs, TX, Kenneth Dayton of Stigler, OK, Patty Dayton Harbour of
Lake Quivira, KS, Tom Dayton of Pittsburg, KS, Dan Dayton of
Indianapolis, IN and Gene Dayton of Pittsburg, KS and six great-
grandchildren Casey Harbour of Duncan, OK, Clare Dayton of
Indianapolis, IN, Meaghan and Conner Dayton both of Pittsburg, KS,
Chad Dayton of Oklahoma City, OK and Ryan Dayton of Dallas, TX.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sons Gene P. and Scott L.
Dayton, sisters Marcella Kehmke and Elizabeth Rogers, brother Buster
Halter and grandson Max Dayton.
Mass of Christian burial will be 1:00pm, Monday, November 9, 2009 at
Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church with Fr. John Hay as celebrant.
Burial will follow in Highland ParkCemeteryin Pittsburg, KS. The family
will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. on Sunday at Bath-Naylor Funeral
Home, 522 S. Broadway, Pittsburg, KS, where a rosary will recited at 7 p.
m. Friends may call the funeral home after 4 p.m. on Sunday.
The family suggests expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorials to St.
Mary’s Colgan Fund. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Bath-Naylor
Funeral Home of Pittsburg, KS.
