Evaughn C. (Welch) Boswell of Arma, KS, passed away at 9:35 pm,
Saturday, January 28, 2012 at the Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg
surrounded by her family.

She was born December 23, 1943 in Pittsburg the daughter of Clayton
L. and Ann G. (Ciardullo) Welch. She graduated from C.C.H.S. with the
class of 1961. She went on to graduate from KSTC (PSU) Cosmetology
School in February 1962. She owned and operated Evaughn's Beauty
Shop from 1968-2000. She also worked for the Food Service Dept. at
USD 246 retiring as Food Service Director on September 30, 2009,
after 26 years of service. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes
Catholic Church. Evaughn was united in marriage to Johnny N. Boswell
February 8, 1964, to this union was born three wonderful daughters.

She is survived by her husband of the home, Johnni Tosh and Robert
Smiley of Vassar, KS, Joy Rons and husband Barry of Waukee, Iowa,
Jeanene Boswell and husband Steven Lindsey of Colorado Springs,
CO. Three grandsons Brandon (Kristan) Krout of Grand Rapids, MI, J.
Andrew (Tabatha) Boswell of Iowa City, IA, Quin Bruce of Topeka, KS,
Three great-grandchildren Araysha Marie Boswell , Andrew J. Boswell
and Holden L. Krout; One brother, Joseph L. (Clare) Welch of
Plymouth, Mi; along with numerous nieces and nephews and great
nieces and nephews.

Evaughn was preceded in death by her parents, maternal and paternal
grandparents.

Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 10:00 am, Friday, February 3,
2012 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church Pittsburg with Fr. Mike
Baldwin as Celebrant. The rosary will be recited at 9:45am prior to the
mass. Friends may call at the Bath-Naylor Funeral Home to sign the
guest book from 10 am until 8 pm Thursday. Condolences may be left
at www.bathnaylor.com. Evaughn has requested memorials be made to
St. Jude's Children's Hospital or Special Olympics of Southeast KS.
Memorials may be left or mailed to the funeral home. Arrangements are
under the direction of Bath Naylor Funeral Home 522 S. Broadway,
Pittsburg, KS.

Marian “Jeanne” T. Lolmaugh, 79, of Pittsburg, KS, passed away
Monday, January 23, 2012, at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburg.
She was born in Wichita, KS on October 30, 1932, the eleventh of
thirteen children to Peter and Matilda (Lies) Neises. Marian lived in
Wichita for the majority of her life and later retired to Fairfield Bay, AR.
She worked as a bookkeeper for various companies.

On April 19, 1952, she married Edward Pelz. He preceded her in
death December 21, 1960. She later married Roy Lolmaugh on
November 19, 1964. He preceded her in death December 23, 1999.

Survivors include two daughters, Vicki Van Becelaere (Don) of
Pittsburg and Doreen Hibbard (Charles) of Louisburg, KS; one son,
Steven Pelz of Overland Park, KS; nine grandchildren and one great-
grandchild; and one sister, Arlene Sperling of Wichita.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January
28, 2012, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Frontenac. Visitation will
be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January
27 at Bath-Naylor Funeral Home in Pittsburg. Private family burial will
take place at a later date in Fairfield Bay, AR. Condolences can be sent

Catholic Church or the National Diabetes Association and dropped off

Aleatha N. May 84, of Grove, OK died 6:15am January 22, 2012 at St.
John’s Hospital in Tulsa, OK following a short illness.
Aleatha was born October 14, 1927 in Pierce, NE the daughter of Clyde
A. and Myrtle M. (Watson) Otto. She graduated from Cherokee High
School and later went to Accounting School in Kansas City, MO.
On July 21, 1950 Aleatha married Melton O. May in Kansas City, MO;
he survives at the home. Aleatha worked in Accounting for Total Office
Supply in Kansas City, MO until her retirement in 1989. She also was a
member of the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Grove, OK.
Survivors include her husband, children Denise L. MacMillan and
husband Mike of Raymore, MO, Jeanene L. Fast of Belton, MO and
Melton John May and wife Tracy of Greenwood, MO; siblings Carl A.
Otto, Walter J. Otto and William J. Otto; 7 grandchildren; 6 great-
grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Marsha Diana May;
brothers Wayne L. Otto and Conard G. Otto; her parents and a
grandson Scott J. MacMillan.
Memorial Services will be 10am Saturday January 28, 2012 at the Bath-
Naylor Funeral Home with Fr. Chrysostom Au Maung officiating. Burial
will take place at a private date in Mt.OlivetCemeteryin Kansas City,
MO. In lieu of flowers the family ask expressions of sympathy be in the
form of memorials to the Hillcrest Hospitality House of Tulsa, OK and/or
Freedom Service Dogs. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to Bath

Joseph Deboutez 88, of Wilmington, DE died January 21, 2012 at
Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE following an illness. On September
15, 1923 he was born in Skidmore, KS the son of Clovis and Grace
(Theyssen) Deboutez. He attended Cherokee County Community High
School in Columbus, KS and graduated in the Class of 1940.
In 1946 Joseph married Alice Vanderbeck in Roseland, KS; she
preceded him in death in November of 1987.
Joseph was a member of Pipefitters Local Union #80, Christiana
Masonic Lodge #35, A.F. & A.M. in Newport, DE, the Delaware
Consistory, Valley of Wilmington, Brandy Wine Forest #20, Tall Cedars
of Lebanon, American Legion Stahl Post #30 and Moose Lodge #1578
of New Castle. He served in the Army during World War II in the 16th
Armored Division with Patton’s Third Army in Europe.
Survivors include a son-in-law George Engelhardt of Wilmington, DE; a
sister Shirley Ann Grubbs of Baxter Springs, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Virginia Jo
Engelhardt, a sister Mary Sachetta and an infant brother.
Graveside Memorial Services will be 11am Wednesday February 1,
2012 at the Hosey HillCemeteryin Weir, KS with Rev. Dennis Johnson
officiating. Military Honors will follow the service. In lieu of flowers the
family ask expressions of sympathy be in the form of memorials to the
Masonic Home of Delaware. Friends may drop off or mail memorials to

Graveside services will be held Saturday April 28, 2012 for
Charles M. Leggett at 2 p.m. in the Columbus ParkCemetery.

Charles was born in Columbus , Kansas on November 3, 1946 to
Earl Gene and Jane Elizabeth (Pine) Leggett who preceded him in
death. He was the grandson of Agnes and Emett Earl Pine, Sr. and
Milas Earl & Lois Leone (Louther) Leggett.

With his parents, Charles moved from Columbus in 1954 to
Richland , Washington where his father was employed with General
Electric at Camp Hanford Atomic Plant. They purchased land and built
a home in Benton City , Washington .

After graduation from Benton City High School , Charles joined
the army during the Vietnam War and received an honorable discharge
in 1967.

Soon after his discharge he was employed with Northwest Airlines
in Minneapolis , Minnesota and later transferred to Seattle , WA . He
retired due to ill health and moved from Sumner , Washington to
Columbus , Kansas in 2006.

Charles was an avid collector and especially loved collecting guns
and liked target shooting. However his love and respect for nature and
animals kept him from being a hunter. He had a vast knowledge of
many subjects. Those surviving will miss the interesting conversations.

Survivors include his Aunt-Doris Ann (Leggett) Baugh; First
Cousins; Electa Ruth (Pine) Hale and husband Jim Hale, Brad Belt and
wife Becky, Kevin Belt and wife Debbie, Kathy (Baugh) Emerson and
husband Morgan, Ken Pine and wife Melinda and Nancy Pine. Other
cousins include Todd and LeAnn Hale, Travis and Dawn Hale, Lauren
(Emerson) and Terry Sanchez, Kyle Thomas Emerson, Lauren Hale,
Scott Hale, Hazen Hale, Brycen Hale, Jerrod Oakley and Kelsey
Hilderbrand.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Bath-Naylor Funeral
Home 611 S. East Ave. Columbus, KS.

George Goodall, 98 of Pittsburg died Monday September 24,
2012 at his home following a sudden illness.

He was born October 21, 1913 in Gross, KS the son of Robert
and Clara ( Sterling ) Goodall. He lived his entire life in the Pittsburg
area, but did live and work in the Scammon, KS area working for a CCC
camp planting trees around the area strip pits in his younger years.

George married Mable Burke on December 23, 1935 in Lamar ,
MO ; she preceded him in death on June 26, 1986.

He worked in his younger years as a coal miner, worked for the
KAAP during WWII in most recent years he worked as a foreman at the
Arma Elevator.

George was currently the oldest member of the Countryside
Christian Church and has been involved within the church since its
opening. He was an avid fisherman, and enjoyed watching his
grandchildren and great-grandchildren foster those same traits.
George enjoyed Pittsburg sports at all levels.

Survivors include a daughter-Trudy Sims and husband Ed of
Wichita, KS; a son-in-law Harry Orbison; three grandsons-Ian Rydzel
and wife Krissondra, Craig Rydzel and Tyler Sims; five great-
grandchildren-Hannah, Faith, Christian, Declan and Ryleigh. He was
preceded in death by his parents, wife, a daughter Belva (B.J.) Orbison
and 6 brothers and sisters.

Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday September 28, 2012
at the Garden of MemoriesCemeteryin Pittsburg with Reverend Dan
Muter officiating. Friends and family are requested to meet at the
funeral home to go in procession to the cemetery. The procession will
leave at 10:10 a.m. The family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m.
Thursday at the funeral home where friends may call after 6:30 p.m.
