Gary Mosher, 64, Centropolis, died Sunday, June 10, 2007.
Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 13, 2007, at Dengel & Son Mortuary, Ottawa. Friends may pay their respects there after 10 a.m. Tuesday to the service hour.
The family will meet with friends from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
ALICE FAYE NITCHER
WELLSVILLE -- Alice Faye Nitcher, age 64, Wellsville, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2007, at Olathe Medical Center surrounded by family after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Wellsville Baptist Church.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wilson's Funeral Home, Wellsville.
Burial will follow services in Wellsville Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made at the American Lung Association in care of Wilson's, P.O. Box 486, Wellsville KS 66092.
Alice Faye Nitcher was born Aug. 31, 1942, in Paola, the daughter of Melvin and Versa (Ross) Folks. She moved to Wellsville with her family in 1947 where she attended West Windy Grade School and then Wellsville High School. She attended the Bethel Church with her family.
In 1959, Alice married
Cecil Bailey. They later divorced.
On March 29, 1983, she married
Ben Nitcher. He survives of the home.
Alice was a hairdresser for more than 35 years and owned her own shop until she retired in December 1998. After her retirement, she enjoyed traveling and spending time at her second home in Arizona with her husband.
She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren. Alice was a talented artist and painted many pictures for her family and friends. She also loved to garden and crochet and was a wonderful cook.
Alice is survived by her husband of the home; children, Randy Bailey of Wellsville, and Brenda Winkler of Olathe; stepchildren, Greg Nitcher, Wellsville, and Eric Nitcher, of Connecticut; sister, Jane Shields, Ottawa; brother, Larry Folks, Wellsville, and twin brother, Danny Folks, Wellsville; six grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren, two great-grandchildren, two stepgreat-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Elaine Coughenour.
EUGENE "GENE" JOHN CLEAR
Eugene "Gene" John Clear, 76, passed away June 2, 2007, at his home in Wellsville. Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, 2007, at the Spring Hill Cemetery, Spring Hill. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S. Webster, P.O. Box 7, Spring Hill KS 66083. Memorial contributions may be made to the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
Gene was born in Denver, Colo., Oct. 7, 1930, to John and Pauline (Butts) Clear. As a child he and his family moved to California. He graduated from Fremont High School, Los Angeles, Calif. He was in the Army during the Korean War. He was a union carpet layer for more than 30 years in California with his last location being Big Bear Lake (1985 to 2004). Gene moved to the Wellsville area in 2004 to be near family. He was an avid baseball fan who had played minor league baseball for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Gene was preceded in death by his parents, former wife, Barbara Clear (2003), and sister Maxine Franks. He is survived by son, Mark Alan Clear, Wellsville; daughters, Leanne Rae Follett, Spring Hill, and Doris Clear, Long Beach, Calif.; brother, Robert Elwood Clear, Carson, Calif.; three grandchildren; nephew, Justin Clear, Overland Park; and special companion, Dorothy Perna, Calabasas, Calif.

OTTAWA -- Ruth A. Baume, 89, Ottawa, died Oct. 14, 2006, at Ottawa Retirement Manor, Ottawa. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, at Mt. Moriah and Freeman Chapel, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Mo.
She was born March 1, 1917, in Freeman, Mo.
She was a member of the Doll Club, Kansas City, Mo., the Minature Museum and Club, the Eastern Star and the First United Methodist Church, Ottawa.
Survivors include daughter Jeanne Driver, grandchildren Andy Smith, Kari Smith Parks and Alan Smith and two great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
Burial will be Mt. Moriah Cemetery, Kansas City, Mo. Friends may pay their respects from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral chapel.
Memorials may be sent to First United Methodist Church, Ottawa.
