Wichita, Kansas - Martin, Gladys G. (Bagby), 92, passed away February 22, 2009. Gladys was born on February 13, 1917 to Cleve and Ethel Bagby in Hallowell, Kansas. Gladys was a retired Grandy’s Granny, a job she loved. She was a beloved mother to her son the late Phillip R. Martin and wife of the late William G. Martin. She is survived by her sister: Ila (Bagby) Freeman, loving friends: Steve (Barb) Lawson, Dave (Charity) Carr, Banie (Mike) Gerber and Chris McCall, nieces: Jane (Mike) Malone, Karen (Gary) Finkeldai and Jill (Dave) Wilson .She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday February 28, 2009 at Lakeview Funeral Home 12100 E. 13th Street, Wichita, KS. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with American Cancer Society.

Wichita, Kansas - Banks, Lawrence “Larry”, 69 passed away February 23, 2009 at his home. born October 28, 1939 in Denver, CO., to Armond and Marjory Banks. He served in the Army and after he was honorably discharged he went to law school and practiced law after graduating for 22years in private practice, then served as an attorney for the Veteran’s Administration for 15 years before retiring. He was a member of the American Legion, Masonic Lodge in Wichita and Summer County and the Lawyer’s Association. He is preceded in death by his parents Armond and Marjory Banks. He is survived by his wife of 15years Regina Banks of Wichita, step-son: Robert (Jackie) Heider of Sioux Falls, SD, sister: Margaret (Loren) Hollingsworth of Bangkok, Thailand, granddaughters: Keira and BreAnn Heider both of Sioux Falls, SD. A Memorial Service will be held at the American Legion in Mulvane, KS on March 7, 2009 at 1:00 PM. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with the Society of Forty Eight Voiture #58 PO Box 12765 Wichita, KS 67277 for Building Repairs.

Rosehill, Kansas - Kraft, Maxine L., 87, passed away Thursday February 26, 2009.Maxine was born on March 12, 1921 in Wilson, KS to Martin and Myrtle Neff. She is preceded in death by her husband Loyd Kraft. Survived by her sister, Margaret Landrus, Wichita, KS., daughters, Susan (Meredith) Clark of Cavalier, ND., Sally (Mark) Brimer of Andover, KS., son, Larry (Sandi) Kraft of Saratoga, WY. Four grandchildren and 2 great grandsons who knew her as Joy Joy. All of whom she adored. She attended Wichita schools and Sterling University and worked as a teacher in the Wichita and Andover school systems. She and Loyd later purchased a Salvage business in Andover where she worked in the office until their retirement to Mission, Texas in 1982. They were both members of the Andover Methodist Church and very active in the Andover American Legion. Her ashes will be interred at a later date. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with the Andover American Legion.

Andover, Kansas - Barzegar, Manouchehr "Mike", 69, of Andover, loving father and proud grandfather, engineer at Spirit AeroSystems, passed away on Sunday, September 4, 2011. born March 30, 1942 in Babol, Iran, he moved to the United States in 1962 to attend college. Preceded in death by his father Hassan Barzegar and mother Soghra Keshvavi and his beloved baby sister Khadejeah, he is survived by his daughters Paula Huntoon-Davis (Lance) of Sedgwick and Cheri Gentzler (Dan) of Andover; sons Robert Barzegar of Wichita and Allan Barzegar of Andover; grandsons Jake Gentzler of Tempe, Az, Colby Huntoon of North Newton, Zac Gentzler of Andover, Colton Huntoon of Sedgwick and Luc "Gunnar" Gentzler of Andover; granddaughters Gaby Gentzler of Andover, Courtlyn Davis of Sedgwick and Payton Barzegar Simons of Wichita; and countless loved ones all over the world. He worked as an engineer for Boeing and NASA and enjoyed flying, but most of all, he loved his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Scott; and daughter, Cynthia Scott-Clark. Augusta, Kansas - Hattaway, Billy Harrison, 71, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2011 at the Robert J. Dole VA Hospice Unit in Wichita, KS. He was born on March 24, 1940 in Elba, Alabama to his parents, O'Neal and Louise (Whitten) Hattaway, the oldest of 4. Billy served in the Army for a short term. In 1975, he married
Wanda in Saltillo, MS. He retired as a Trailer Mechanic in 1988. He could build anything with his hands. Billy was well liked and he especially enjoyed little kids. He was an avid football fan, especially Alabama Crimson Tide. He was preceded in death by his parents. Billy is survived by his wife of 36 years, Wanda and their son, Timothy Hattaway of Augusta, KS; 3 children from a previous marriage, Sandra Tolbert of Florala, AL, Kenneth Hattaway of Opp, AL, Roxanne Stinson of Opp, AL; siblings, Jackie Richardson, Barbara Ivey, James Hattaway, all of Elba, AL; 12 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren. Fred served in the Army Air Corps during WWII as an aircraft sheet metal mechanic and spent his civilian career in the aircraft industry. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Margaret Russman, in 2007; and his parents. Fred is survived by his children, Cheryl Kiekel, Renee (David) Loveall, and Ronald Russman; 4 grandchildren; and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral: 10 am, Tuesday at Lakeview Funeral Home. Lubbock, Texas - Fleagle, Perry Thomas, 90, former Kansas resident, died September 25, 2011, at his home in Lubbock, Texas, after succumbing to an acute illness. His wife, Dorothy, was by his side. Perry was born November 6, 1920, near Friend, Kansas, to Walter and Ethel Fleagle. Perry graduated from the University of Kansas in 1942 with a degree in Business Administration. He married
Marcia Molby that same year and then began service in the Army Air Corps as a First Lieutenant during World War II as a technical supply officer. When Perry returned to Wichita in 1946, he went on to become owner of BRC Bearing Company in Wichita, Kansas. He and Marcia were active members of Metropolitan Baptist Church, and Perry served as a Deacon. Marcia died in 1991. They were married
49 years. Mutual friends in Lubbock, Texas, introduced Perry to Dorothy Walker, and they were married
in 1993. They spent many years in Wichitta and attended Central Christian Church. They retired to Lubbock in 2010. Perry was preceded in death by his first wife, Marcia; sisters, Eleanor, Margaret, and Gladys; and by his brothers, Dave and Ralph. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; daughter, Nancy Fleagle; daughter, Janice Kauder and husband, Steven; and son, Jim Fleagle and wife, Nancy. There are five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled on October 1, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 East 13th Street, Wichita, Kansas. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House Charities.
