Derby, Kansas - Wheeler, Robert "Robby" D. II, 26, passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2011. He was born on October 21, 1984 to Robert and Mary Wheeler, in Wichita, KS. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert D. Wheeler, I; and grandfather, Carl E. Gilbert. Robby is survived by his children, Haleigh and Hayden Wheeler; mother, Mary Wheeler; sister, Sara (Josh) Andrews; grandparents, Ruth Mary Gilbert and Dale Wheeler; aunt, Carla Gilbert; cousin, Tyler Gilbert; and nephew, Patrick Andrews. Memorial graveside service: 10 am, Tuesday, at Lakeview Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Comcare Suicide Prevention Coalition, 635 N. Main, Wichita, KS 67203.

Roger Allen Cole
May 9, 1941 - September 15, 2011

Andover, Kansas - Cole, Roger Allen, 70, passed away September 15, 2011. He was born May 9, 1941 to Chester Allen Arthur and Genevieve Ann (Mans) Cole in Wichita, KS. While serving his country in the Navy, he spent time in the ocean while atomic weapons were being tested. He later developed and survived lung cancer. He began his civilian career at Cessna and worked his way up to a supervising position. He worked for Vulcan Chemical until 2003 when he retired. He was a member of American Legion Post 406 in Andover. He was preceded in death by his parents. Roger is survived by his wife, Jane Cole; daughter, Denise (Jarrett) McRee; grandchildren, Cole Jarrett McRee and Caitlin Grace McRee; and sisters, Kathleen Farney and Penelope (Robert) Patterson. Visitation: Sunday, 2 - 5 pm. Funeral: 10 am, Monday, both at Lakeview Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Mr. Brad J. Hoss
February 20, 1976 - September 17, 2011

Baltimore, Maryland - Hoss, Bradley, 35, Heaven got a good one on September 17, 2011. He joins his grandparents, Howard & Virginia Benkula; Dorothea Hoss. He is survived by his partner, Keenan; his parents, Tony & Jereen; grandfather, Bernard; and his siblings & their families, Greg & Amber, Andy, Sarah &Josh, Diana & Ryan. Memorial Service: Friday, 2:00pm at Lakeview Funeral Home. Bradley will be remembered in our everyday lives through his love & dedication to his family & friends.

Ms. Diana Hanna

Rose Hill, Kansas - Hanna, Diana, 50, passed away September 2, 2011. She was preceded in death by her father, David O. Daniel; brothers, Chris and Jeff Daniel; and sister, Julie Beck. Diana is survived by her mother, Laura L. Freeman; children, Matthew Carr, Logan Hanna, and Kelsey Hanna; 1 grandson; siblings, Lisa Big Mountain of Wichita, Randy Daniel of Wichita, and Scott of Perryton, TX; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Grace Helen Boone
August 20, 1932 - September 12, 2011

Andover, Kansas - Boone, Grace "Helen", 79, passed away September 12, 2011. She was a member of Andover United Methodist Church and the Esther Circle Group. Helen retired from the Andover School District. During her career there, she was Andover's Kansas Master Teacher of the Year. She was an officer in the Butler County Association of Retired School Personnel (BCARSP). She was preceded in death by 4 brothers and a granddaughter, Corine Jones. Helen is survived by her husband, Forest Boone; children, Glenda (Brent) Jones, Jim Boone, and Beth Boone; brothers, Oscar Edwards and Jim Baskins; and grandsons, Jordan Jones and Tristan Jones. A memorial service will be held at Lakeview Funeral Home on Friday, September 16, 2011 at 10 am. Memorial contributions may be made to the BCARSP Scholarship Fund, 235 Sunset Dr., Andover, KS 67002.

Mr. John P. Shearer
August 2, 1946 - September 5, 2011

Wichita, Kansas - Shearer, John P., Wichita, 65, retired Beech Aircraft engineer, passed away Monday, September 5, 2011, in Wichita, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Shearer and Mary (Hornsby) Shearer and mother-in-law, Joyce Spencer. John is survived by his wife, Janet of the home; son, John L. (Carla) Shearer; granddaughter, Kaycie Shearer; and grandson, John R. Shearer, all of Canton, KS; sisters, Dianne Shearer of Wichita, KS and Kathy (Paul) Logan of Mesilla, NM; nephews, Nick Shearer of Wichita, KS, Chad Logan of Denver, CO and Stephen Andrews of Albuquerque, NM; brother-in-law, Jerry (Janice) Spencer of Douglass, KS; and father-in-law, Jesse Spencer of Douglass, KS. The family will be receiving visitors Friday, September 9th, 2011, from 6:30 – 8:00 pm, with Memorial Service, 10:00 am, Saturday, September 10, 2011, both at Lakeview Funeral Home, 12100 E. 13th Street, Wichita, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kansas Humane Society, 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS 67219 or the John Shearer Family Memorial Scholarship Fund, in care of Lakeview.

Wichita, Kansas - Kitchen, Marjorie "Jean", 80, passed away September 13, 2011. She was born July 8, 1931 to Clarence and Alice (Stiger) Higerd in Enid, OK. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilton J. Kitchen; parents; step-mother, Katherine Higerd; and sisters, Betty Blanco and Florence Klein. Jean is survived by her children, Linda (Vance) Cauthon, Vicki Ackerman, Dale (Barbara) Clark, Luanne (Richard) Schneider; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and step-siblings, Gene (Ethel) Westphal and JoAnn (Pere) Owen. Two brothers and One sister. Claude is survived by his daughters Patricia (Ken) Deemer of Olathe, KS. Janice Lamb of Andover, KS.; Kay (Bill) Maher of Oviedo, FL., two granddaughters and two grandsons. Grandsons Brian Hamlin of Andover, KS.; Bill (Lisa) Burford, Brad Burford, and Bob (Alison) Burford all of Olathe, KS. and grandson Brian (Penny) Burford of Shawnee, KS. Wichita, Kansas - Shumard, Steven E., 46, laid down his burdens and went to join his daughter, Amber Dawn Shumard and mother, Mary Hilyard in eternal rest on Thursday, September 1, 2011. Steven is survived by his children, Letitia (Sabrina) Bowles, Kathi Shumard, Matthew Shumard; grandchildren, Tristin Lecklighter and Gage Lecklighter; grandmother, Hazel; father, Gerald Hilyard; and brothers, Matthew (Jeff) Hilyard, John (Kate) Hilyard, and Mark (Lisa) Hilyard.
